Heres Michigan's schedule for next year...
UTAH (8-4)
MIAMI, OH (6-7)
@ Norte Dame (3-9)
WISCONSON (9-3)
ILLINOIS (9-3)
TOLEDO (5-7)
@ Penn State (8-4)
MICHIGAN STATE (7-5)
@ Purdue (7-5)
@ Minnesota (1-11)
NORTHWESTERN (6-6)
@ Ohio State (11-1)
Should work out well for them, the non-conference schedule is weak and Wisconson, Illinois and Michigan State are home games. 1 real tough road game @ Ohio State. With Big Blue's top 10 recruiting classes every year, they should be able to handle Joe Pa on the road.

sucked at it really? is that why Cody westbrook threw for over 2000 yards?Mister B wrote:BigMcCauley55...
So what is the excuse for the Top Ten recruiting against Appy State and Ohio State, you had one for Oregon, Dixon. Face it, having all the Parade All-Americans you want and being ranked in the top ten by Scouts.com doesn't give you a guarantee of a win, look at Notre Dame, it stills boils down to coaching and Mike Hart is still 0-4 against the Buckeyes. And please, I am a fan of both WVU and OSU.
Must not know enough about that offense as Marietta pretty much sucked at that offense didn't they? Maybe Rich Rod will let you into the circle of trust in Ann Arbor to help your Tigers out next year.
newlexpanthers...
I whinced when I heard Rich Rod say the same thing about the OSU game when I watched the press conference live. I also liked his look when he repeated what one of the WVU fans told him at the airport when he left Morgantown,.."better not go 3-8 your first year there either..."
is that sucking?

Rich can't even beat Pitt in a clutch situation! How in the world do you think is a good enough coach to beat the Buckeyes in a clutch situation. He'll never make it at Michigan in my opinion. As long as Tressel is at Ohio State He'll keep taking the Ohio talent and that is what has made Michigan so good over the years! Where were there last two heisman trophey winners from?????
BigMcCauley55...
Your the one who brought up Marietta football and how well rounded your are with the read option so face the facts and I am not knocking the Westbrook kid in anyway, shape or form.
Marietta was 3-7 this past season (2-5 in the SEOAL) while scoring 245 points and giving up 400. That is having a handle on the read option but completely forgeting that you have to play some sort of defense while giving 42 points twice, 49, 61, 70 and 76 points in 6 of the 7 losses.
Again, maybe Rich Rod will let you in his inner circle and explain the finer points of winning football. Obiviously, Michigan thinks he knows what he is doing so they want him in their inner circle. Hopefully, he can educate the Maize and Blue and their fan base.

Where do you get he keeps getting all of this Ohio Talent??? He missed on Prescott Burgess, Mario Manningham, Zoltan Mesko, Mike Massey, etc. He also has three already committed to the Wolverines for next season, two of which are playing in the All American Game.
Just a little food for thought.
Since Um won't have talent like so many like to profess on here how about this for RR to work with.
Big Ten Defensive Fr. of the Year Danavon Warren
Fr. All American LB Obi Ezeh
Fr. All American OL Steve Schilling
Justin Boren OL All Big Ten 2nd team he's a soph
Three of Five Starters return on the oline
If Arrington comes back they return two of three starters at wideout
In the backfield they return Minor and Brown whom both had at least two 100 yard performances on the year, along with super recruit Sam McGuffie.
All three TE's return plus the addition of Brandon Moore and Kevin Koger, both 4 stars and from Ohio
At QB if Pryor doesn't come than Mallett is starting along with former 4 star David Threat who signed with GT before transfering back to UM last year will be ready to go.
On Defense Michigan returns everyone along the Dline including 1st Team All Big Ten performer Terrance Taylor.
Ezeh and Thompson return at LB
In the Secondary Morgan Trent and Donavon Warren return at DB, and Stevie Brown return at FS.
Looks like he has nothing to work with

The man hasnt had a bad season because he hasnt had a talent drought
the time will come when he does have a bad season maybe a 4 to 5 loss season which is bad for Michigan OSU Wis and probally Penn State too
and dont give that crap that they have becasue they havent and the NFL draft shows it
I respect Jim hes a great coach butt he hasnt faced rough times and losing to Flordia isnt a rough time bad games happen and they move on
He is a great coach and I wish the best of luck to the bucks agaisnt Les Miles and LSU

Oh my God dude, everytime you post you show you dont know what your talkin bout. First season was 7-5, 2004 was 8-4. And yes there has been lack of talent. 2003 and 2004 in which they went 11-2 Lydell Ross was their starting RB.... need I say more?? How bout takin the overachieving Craig Krenzel, not sayin he was a bad QB, but he sure as heck didn't have frekish size and dazzling athleticism, and winning a National Title with him?
