Re: Records of the teams Ohio State has played B.B. This season
And.. the point is....?
Everyone who follows OSU already knew they had 5 losses. Are you trying to show they haven't lost to a team with a .500 or worse record? Did you expect them to have a better record against teams with winning records than against teams with losing records? Were you trying to point out that 13 of their 19 opponents have had winning records?
8-5. Hmm.. that is about like a Florida or LSU record in football about every other year or so, and OSU basketball has done it against teams with winning records only.
You may have had a pessimistic point, as I'm sure you were trying to make, if OSU had only played six or seven games against teams with winning records and had lost five. Thank you for showing that OSU has a winning record against teams with winning records.
Try that with most 5-35 ranked basketball teams and their schedules.

Seems somebody's negative world view and wowe is me attitude about the
economy, has shifted over to his view of his alleged favorite team.

Re: Records of the teams Ohio State has played B.B. This season
Then why did you post it?
Why not include the records of other teams with similar records
as OSU, against teams with .500 records?
Why not include the victories over Miami and Notre Dame on your
list of "nationally televised games", that would blow your arguement.
Why be a negative poster of the team that you claim to like?
Especially when that team has a .736 win %, with victories over top 25 teams.
Is life so bad for you over in newark, that you just can't be happy about anything?
Sucks to be you, hope you get better soon.
Go Bucks.

First I listed all the games and did not break them down to what games were on tv.seofan_via_dublin wrote:Then why did you post it?

Re: Records of the teams Ohio State has played B.B. This season
Board space that holds such vast and educational topics as:
"What are you getting into today"
"Good Morning southeasternohiopreps.com"
"What are you watching right now"
"Fans of Friday Night Lights"
"We might get 9 inches of snow in Licking County"
"Don't forget there is a new season three Friday Night Lights"
"Burn Notice-The new season starts tonight"
Or the fear mongering, the world is collapsing topics like:
"Americans receiving jobless benifits hits record"
"Starbucks to close 300 more stores as 1Q profit falls"
"Job-Killing recession racks up more layoff victims"
"Cascading Layoffs hit Pfizer, Catepillar, and Home Depot"
"GM to layoff 2,000 workers, cut production"
"Unemployment rises in state"
"Layoffs spike, housing tumbles; outlook worsens"
"Where you won't shop in 2009 (Places that Could close)"
And that's just the first page of the chat forum!
Oh, and you still didn't answer questions like:
Why not include the records of other teams with similar records

And most importantly:

Re: Records of the teams Ohio State has played B.B. This season
OSU is 8-5 against teams over .500
That's a .615 win %.
OSU has not lost to a team with a losing record
Teams with similar records as OSU, and how they fared against over .500 teams:
ACC
Virginia Tech (4/5 losses were to teams over .500, there third was to a team w/losing record)
Boston College (6/6 loses came against over .500 teams, one was Harvard)
Florida State (all loses were to over .500 teams, they lost to Northwestern)
Miami (all loses came at hands of teams over .500)
SEC
Kentucky (all loses came to +.500 teams, one was VMI)
South Carolina (again, all came to >.500 teams, who the heck is COFC)
LSU (same story, all to +.500 teams)
Mississippi State (not this time, all but one came to over .500 teams, one loss was 6-13)
Pac 10
Washington
UCLA
Cal
USC
Big East
Providence
West Virginia
Syracuse
Big 12
Baylor
Oklahoma St
Texas A&M
Alright, I'm getting bored showing you that there is nothing wrong with losing to a
plus .500 team. Would you rather the Buckeyes be 14-5 with all 5 loses coming
to teams they should have beaten?

Re: Records of the teams Ohio State has played B.B. This season
I’m picking up that you are one of those well-educated types who can not take the simple answer as be just that the answer. I responded to why I made the post again there were no other reason for the posting. Please feel free to dig deeper for mor answers to you already answered question.
As for me I will start some more topics so you will have something to read.

"There were no other reasons to post it.I did figure there were be some posters(yes you two were at the top of the list)would come on here spouting off things. And we all can see that did not take long."
So, your answer is that there is no reason to post it, or that you simply posted it as a "troll" to bait people into responding. Nice.
Look, everything you post about Ohio State is either "well, it's about time" (when they win) or "wow they are embarrassing and they need to change everything." When one factors in your negative posts about every other topic on this board, it gives a context for why this post was made. You thought 8-5 against teams with winning records would make OSU look bad, so you made the post to bash them. It's either that or you are flame-baiting.
As for OSU basketball, if someone told me that Lighty would go down in mid-December, Crater would leave the program, and Kecman would get hurt as soon as he was off suspension, I would have predicted OSU to finish around 14-14. They are very young and their rotation is now shattered.

Wrong as usual.
I posted it knowing there would be at least two posters who would blow up and look for other reasons for the posting
. It was worth the risk.

So, I was right. I came to two possible conclusions. One was baiting for responses.

You could have said this to yourself:
No need to take of board space for these matters.
