question about NAIA rules

Post by Mad-Dogg »

I was at shawnee state watchin their 2nd round game. The game before had a very interesting play in which I have never seen. There was a 5 point play. I was just wonderin if anyone has ever seen this happen or how it is possible. Even the announcers were shocked because they had never seen it happen

I have no clue. I don't know if they hit a three and somethin happen or what all I know is they already had three points on a play and then they made 2 free throws. The announcers even said they had never seen a 5 point play before

My guess would be a foul occured away from the ball while the shot was in the air and after the 3 was good the person fouled went to the line and made 2 free throws.

Shooter could have made a three point basket and then was fouled after the shot. If they were in the the one and one or double bonus then the shooter would have been able to make the two shots making it a 5 point play.
