WHO BELIEVES THERE SHOULD BE CO-NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.

Post by YOU'RE TIGER BAIT »

i think boise state should share the title, with whoever wins between texas/bama. i'm serious , here me out. the only other team to be 14-0. were the 2002 national champions the ohio state university. boise has beaten oregon, oklahoma state, tcu, and i believe fresno. they cannot even get people to sign on the dotted line to play guaranteed games, meaning a one time game where boise goes somewhere one year, for a big payday. much less home/home games. what more can they do. without a playoff system, how can you not include the boise state broncos in the national championship this year.

You have some valid points and a strong argument for the Broncos, but they will not get a share of the title unfortunately. I agree with you though and as long as Boise stays in their current conference, people will always say that they are not worthy of a title shot. They have beaten some very good teams this year and the past victory over Oklahoma in the bowl game will not be enough to sway the BCS to give them a Co-Championship. 14-0 is hard to argue against!

Politics at it's finest!

i agree about the politics, and i think the pac 10 would be a great fit for them, but unfortunately that is not the case. 14-0. they used to do co-champions. but not during the bcs. that would be admitting it failed. and there is no playoff system in place. so at what point do these bowl busting teams get rewarded for being in these bcs games. thats all i'm saying, just being in the games are not enough. and they are winning them. somebody needs to give them the ultimate prize, and in my opinion, that would be a co-national championship. because when all the smoke is cleared , there will be 2 undefeated teams this year. that beat EVERYBODY ON THEIR SCHEDULE.

There is no such thing as a National Champion on the top level. Never has been. It has been and always will be a mythical title, unless they go to a true playoff. That wont happen anytime soon.

As an OSU fan, I have always placed big importance on games actually with meaning. Big Ten games only. All bowls are exhibitions.

So you are basically saying that every BCS National Championship is only an illusion and college football does not crown a true Champion?

I say they should move Boise State and Fresno State over to mountain west conference then that way the mountain west and let them be a BCS conference becasue they would be better then the Big East b/c they do have TCU , BYU , Utah , and then they would have Boise State and Fresno State also

After watching the Boise/TCU game the other night, in my opinion, neither team is elite. Both beat subpar teams in the regular season. The one semi-impressive win was Boise over Oregon but that was game #1 in Boise. Oregon would beat them at this point, I feel.

I would, but agree with winchell BSU & TCU didn't look good enough to compete with Bama, Texas, or Florida all year in a solid conference. If those 2 were in the Big 10 , they wouldn't go undefeated.

how will we ever know , thats what people said, and then said after they play oklahoma , they'll be exposed. the beat the sooners. another example last year utah, vs. alabama. utah destroyed alabama. so when , is when. i personally think boise can play with and beat, any team in the country.

look at tcu, they went undefeated in the mountain west, and they won the bowl challenge this year, but boise beat them.

A bowl game is different than a major conference season

i don't know bout a 32 game playoff but i would like to see one. the bcs don't prove a thing. i remember one yr where the number one team in all the polls didn't play for the title because they were not 1 or 2 in the bcs
