Hey Dubs, off subject but when are the new buckeye pro combat uniforms going for sale? I seen a couple days ago they released them and they look pretty sweet

Nathan Williams is out, he had orthroscopic knee surgery today.

Philly Brown is doubtful, sprained ankle.

Williams being out is a BIG BIG blow IMO. How long is he going to be on the sideline?

Should go on sale the week of the Wisconsin game if past methods still apply.

I'm more than a little worried about the game this week. All of this talk about Braxton Miller is still a little goofy to me. I just don't see it, yet. However, they should have (and will) put Miller in earlier. It's a lot easier to go with the second QB option when your starter is struggling when they have already played a series or two. It's still completely Bauserman's job to lose, but he's on the path to be overtaken...just not yet.

Last week was a tough one to watch. Ohio State was out-coached, out-executed, and just didn't play as hard (other than the D-Line) as Toledo. The Buckeyes won by talent alone....and maybe a little bit of luck. Toledo will get spanked by Boise St. based on the simple fact that they are just not good enough to hang with the top teams when they actually show up to play.

I will be extremely happy (and surprised) if the Bucks can escape Souf Beach with a "W". A different team will have to show up this week and frankly I haven't seen "it" yet. The Adam Sandler look-a-like still hasn't won me over...but I'll continue to keep giving him a shot. Go Bucks!

Any truth to the rumor that Miller was "dinged up" for last week's game? If so, that explains a lot about why he didn't see playing time. Miller may not be completely prime time just yet but does anyone think Bauserman can get the Buckeyes to a major bowl game? I don't see that either.

Ohio State got out-efforted last week. My guess is the euphoria of just being able to play the first game after all the off-saeson stuff just wore off last week. Toledo is good but shouldn't be able to hang with the buckeyes like that.

As for Fickell, the Bucks are in dangerous territory. They had no choice but to turn to him given the circumstances and the timing of Tressel's departure. But he could benefit some head coaching at another level before being thrust into this position at this time. Can he be a great head coach? Yea, but I worry he is not seasoned enough yet.

Braxton was sore, "banged up", but Fickle said that did not play into his lack of PT.

When it comes down to it, 2 factors played into the lack of Miller Time.

1) Close game, fear of a mistake that would cost us a home game against a MAC school. If that would have happened it would have been a bigger black eye in CBus, than all of the off season drama combined!

2) We had the lead from 1/2 on, and Bollman was intent on simply getting the win and not showing Miami anything.

Bouserman might not be able to single handedly win you a tough game, but he's not going to lose it!

Fickle still has very little to do with the offense, and he was standing about 30 yards away from the LOS all game. Bollman calls the plays, makes the personel moves, and WR coach Stan Drayton plays the role of on sideline motivator. (like fickle did on D last year)

Luke is very much involved in the defense, and is constantly at the LOS, and tinkering with the D.

It's pretty much the opposite of Tress.

JT, never messed with the D. In his entire time at OSU, he attended about 1 hours worth of defensive meetings! JT was offense only, he let his D coaches do their own thing.

The bigger issue with the Toledo game was Buckeyes that didn't play:

Jordan Hall
Travis Howard
Corey Brown
Nathan Williams
Corey "Philly" Brown
John Simon (missed substantial time)
Solomon Thomas
Boom Heron
DeVier Posey
Mike Adams

We are on our 3rd string left tackle, JB Shugarts is a revolving false starting door, Mike Brewster is the only O Lineman that you can consider reliable, and thank God he's an All American!!!

On the D Line we were missing 2 starters all game and a third for over 1/2!

At LB, we were in Nickle all game, so only 2 actual LBs on the field, and they were spread wide due to the Toledo offense.

Tyler Moller is a safety, and was forced to play CB due to the Travis Howard issue.

The Buckeyes are a walking, suspended, MASH unit, and are going to have to win ugly, then as a reward, once everyone is back, we go to Nebraska for a night game!!!!

There is no since in complaining, so long as we keep winning.

"Next man up." Everyone can beat up OSU for a close game but they aren't making excuses. And the opposition isn't going to feel sorry for you because of who you don't have on the field.

Please tell us again how OSU should be honored to beat a fine football machine like Toledo. I saw a beatdown last night and it wasn't from the team on the cusp of greatness in your eyes. BSU is a good team, OSU is not.

Tonights drinking game:
Announcer says NCAA: 1 drink
Announcer says ineligible: 1 drink
Announcer mentions Tressel or TP: 1 drink
Announcer mentions 02 Title game: 1 drink
Jacory Harris turnover: 1 drink
J.B. Shugarts penalty or missed block: 1 drink

If your playing along, get your keg tapped early, it's going to be a drunk night!!!

If that's how you are going to play it you better tape the game because everybody will be dead drunk before the first series is over. I got friends who are professional drinkers and even they can't handle that much alcohol in that short amount of time :122245 :122245 :122245
