I too saw them play along with Walton

I remember Walton playing against the Russians. R had a cherry pick going with Walton the only one back. The R went to shoot and Walton slapped the ball off his head. If I remember right Walton was 11 for 12 that game with 22 points.

Big men would be Alcindor and Walton. When Lew was a freshmen they were not allowed to play varsity. UCLA's freshmen class beat the varsity that year in a full scrimmage. If Walton hadn't had knee problems he would have hate the NBA up.
