Marshall Mens hoops

Post by Mercerville Monster »

Anyone been to any games this year? I went to the game against VMI yesterday afternoon and watched the Herd straight dominate the highest scoring team in the country. Coach Herrion is a good coach who wants to see some more support for his team from the community and I think they deserve it. This team is VERY talented and ticket prices are cheap. Yesterday, as soon as I walked in they were handing out free floor level tickets to anyone who wanted them.

And even if you have to pay a few bucks to get in, DeAndre Kane is well worth the price of admission. This guy is one of the best Freshmen in the country. Yesterday he recorded a double - double in the first half with 12 points and 11 assist. He finished the game with 18 points and 13 assist.

The 1 point loss should have been a one point win. As an official you do not call a charge at the end of the game on the game winning shot. You let the players win or lose the game, not an official.

The loss last week at James Madison hurt. The Herd needs to get a big win against undefeated UCF this week but the team could be hurting with Pena out.

Actually if it was a charge then yes as an official you do make that call but saying that I am not into Marshall hoops so I did not see the play.

I don't know what happened to Cam. Did a Google search, but didn't see where he was on a current roster anywhere.

What an ugly game. Of course, it normally is when these two play. Over 60 fouls called in the game. Where do they get these guys?

I like Marshall's team. Kane seems to be a bit of a head case though.

Good win for the HERD but a very ulgy game, I would say at least every 30 seconds that there was a foul being called.

Great win for the HERD. Up by 24 at one time and then the other team made a come back, not WVU, I mean the Refs. Where do they find these idiots. The NCAA record is 68 fouls last night game had 64. Go Herd!!!!

I hope you aren't insinuating the officiating was one sided

Marshall getting a ton of fouls on them... after the game I saw in the Convo can't say it suprises me.

Throw the fact in that it's West Virginia... nobody should be suprised.

Just when I thought WVU was making progress, they take 2 steps back.

The refs call a touch foul and then let a guy get mauled and call nothing; and they called it that way for both teams. Very hard game to watch since there was no flow to it.
