Re: wrote this on another Michigan Site
peake-as always i appreciate the info about Michigan. I have lived in Ohio my entire life and have been a Wolverine fan my entire life. Hope you pay no attention to the morons on here that just want to be idiots, they really don't know any better, they have no life. They are probably the people who thought TP would have played with no tattoo's. I can't wait to see this years addition of Michigan football take the field.

Tom Storbel, 4-star DE from Mentor, OH committed to UM today. He is the 6th player in the current class to choose Michigan over Ohio State.
He said this about his commitment, "after much deliberation with my friends and family, I have decided to attend the University of Michigan. I have been very blessed with the opportunity to visit and meet with many elite colleges, but I genuinely feel that Michigan will provide me with both the best academic and athletic college experience possible. Like most people in Ohio, I was raised with a biased opinion against Michigan; however, it occurred to me that there was no justification for my prejudice, besides the fact that it was Michigan. I think it says something that despite my apprehension, Michigan still stood out above the rest. I am confident that I have made the right decision for my future, and I look forward to beginning my college career as a Wolverine. I am very thankful for all the support I have received during my high school career at Mentor, and I hope that support will continue throughout my college career as well."
Ten minutest late 4-star OT from California Eirc Magnuson has chosen UM.

What else would you expect from a typical classless buckeye fan with little sports knowledge that lives to say they hate Michigan. Some of the worst fans in sports. Like my old buddy Carson said" i cannot stand the Buckeyes ".

Hoke went into Mentor and got a guy who was supposed to be an OSU lock.
Re: wrote this on another Michigan Site
according to Bill Greene, Michigan is the leader for 4-star Toledo DE Chris Wormley, in the top two for 5-star Cincinnati DE Adoplhus Washington (Notre Dame), and is in the top 3 for Canton McKnley 4-star DE Sa'Von Pittman.
Greene also said that Bri'onte Dunn will head to Michigan if OSU has the NCAA come down hard on them.

Re: wrote this on another Michigan Site
according to OSU insiders Sa'Von Pittman of Canton McKinley TRIED committing to UM, but due to two things they would not accept it at this time.
1. Grades---believed Pittman is boarder line in terms of Michigan admissions.
2. Wormley and Washington are both believed to be leaning heavily towards Michigan.
These are both just rumors, but they come from OSU insiders.

With JT out at OSU and Fickell the interm (I don't believe for a minute he can hang onto the HC job) UM will dominate OSU in the recruiting wars for the next couple of years and should pave the way for their return as the top program in the Big Ten.
OSU's run as top dog in the Big Ten will end...for awhile. It all goes in cycles.

Re: wrote this on another Michigan Site
Fickell has been the closer in a ton of high profile recruits.
The program is set up to sell itself.
The motto has been "if you want to be here then sign, if there is doubt, then sign somewhere else."
Not having JT will NOT effect recruiting. The NCAA sanctions might raise some doubt in recruits, but like I said earlier if there is doubt get out!
I'm not foolish enough to think that signing recruits won't be a challenge. But OSU is not going to have a monumental talent collapse!

Dubs I disagree and I think it is already happening. I am willing to bet Mr. Kalis of St.Edwards will change his commitment after OSU gets in big trouble. One of Tom Strobels main reasons for not going to OSU was what happened. Adolphous Washington and Stanford were heavy OSU leans and now are leaning away from OSU, and Sa'Von Pittman tried committing to Michigan (also considered an OSU lock) but MIchigan said no thank you because of 1. Grade issues 2. Standing with Washington and Pipkins.
It will certainly effect recruiting, and that doubt used to be, is OSU right for me, now it is am I going to get to go to a bowl and who will be my next head coach. Totally different situations imo.
Also notice that none of the MIchigan kids with OSU offers gave them a sniff this season.

Took this from our site and a knowledegable poster:
1. Junior Hemmingway is turning into a manchild.... His Bench and Squat are both over 400 pounds and he is running in the 4.5 range...look for a breakout year.
2. Lewan is 100 percent. Not really any pain anymore at all and is getting back to where he was strength wise before the injury.
3. Richard Ash is adding good weight and has maybe made more strength gains under the new staff than anyone.... He might be 340 by the time the season hits or close to it.
4. Mike Cox is an absolute freak... He stood about 5 feet from me and the kid cant have more than about 8% body fat which is crazy for a RB of his stature.
5. Pound for pound 2 of the strongest guys on the team are said to be 1. No Surprise Mike Martin and 2. Surprise Vincent Smith
6. The team (all positions) studies film on their own a lot ,...some position groups even twice per day (this is a huge change from yrs. past)
7. Players are spending time working out beyond just the team workouts...many individual position group workouts created by the players are taking place
8. A LOT of former Michigan guys in the NFL are around A2 because of the lockout...MANY are working out with Barwis and thus spend some time at UofM as well... It has been a huge boost for recruiting and the current players love it as well
9. Stonum is putting in a major effort to to get back to this team. Anyone who says he has not put his everything to the grindstone is sadly mistaking.... Not only does he show up for his punishment workouts but he also goes and trains with Barwis...essentially doing double duty to get ready for the season
10. Devin is relentless in his preparation. Between film and team workouts and training on his own... football takes up about 2/3s of his day.
11. Denard has gained about 5 good pounds and is faster than ever.
12. Jibreel Black is looking and acting like BG more and more every day. (might he be 270 by the season? we will see)
13. Floyd is ready to go but Courtney Avery is turning into a great leader this summer.... Could be interesting.
14. RVB taking a Charles Woodson type role in leadership (sick and tired of losing and everyone doubting us let's shock the world type mentality) They break the huddle in workouts with the Chant Big Ten Champs
15. surprise of the Summer Mr. Stokes
16. Oh and one Last thing a little extra..... Q Wash looks crazy... He looks like the combination of a Sumo Wrestler and a bodybulder built into one... guy does not look that fat but has a massive upper body with definition. CRAZY SCARY... would not want to walk by him in a dark alley. He and Mr. Martin could be a dynamic 2some.... and yes Big Will is working hard also

Still think that this won't hurt recruiting for OSU?

Ejuan Price is the only defector from the Buckeyes 2011 class. All other freshmen are on campus now.
Price didn't back out due to the scandal, his words were, "my heart just isn't at OSU right now".
He is cousins with Dorian Bell, who has been suspended for the year, due to drug rules.
Also, he would have had trouble finding the field early, it at all for a sustained period.
He will end up at Pitt.

As good as UM's 2012 recruiting class is as of this moment, Bill Greene (Ohio and OSU insider) says we lead for Jordan Diamond (5-star OT), OSU decommit Kyle Kalis (5-star OT), Andre Pipkins (4-star DT), and Chris Wormley (4-star DE).
This could be a very special class and potentially #1.

One good class makes a team better, but they are still 2 seasons out from being any better than an 8-4 or 9-3 football team.

Dubs I'll take the 9-4 season this year or 8-5 I think would be a very good year...with those wins beating ND and Mich St. Would be a Great year if michigan beats OSU.
Anyone else READY FOR SOME COLLEGE FOOTBALL. Heck with pros.

I agree. The NFL has quickly become a man's version of Days of Our Lives! I would be just fine with college and high school football this fall!
