Somebody please explain to me how Ohio State is mentioned in the same breath as Miami, USC, or UNC? I simply do not get it other than they have an infraction that they are paying for. Let's review this further.

Miami had a booster/agent pay over a million dollars in benefits TO possibly 72 players over a period of time. They did this before and while those players attended Miami.

USC had booster/agent pay over a half million dollars in benefits to a player. Again, this was paid before and while that player attended USC.

UNC paid people to change grades and more in order to keep those players eligible. Also, booster/agent paid for a little trip of pleasure.

All three of these situations are money/benefits GIVEN to players in order to get or keep them on their field. Ohio State, along with Georgia, had players that SOLD what was already THEIRS. They received NOTHING from anyone affliated with the university or program, unlike the three mentioned above.

Are you serious right now?

With all of this being said, Ohio State is going to pay a price for LYING to cover the infractions that the players committed. Yet many are saying Ohio State cheated....HOW?
Well they cheated because they played with ineligible players for an entire season and thus then CHEATED by doing so, only to turn around and have their coach both cover it up and lie about it---that's how
Because their tattoos made it harder to see them when playing?
BEcause AJ Green was just suspended for the same exact thing (Selling his bowl jersey) and instead of doing the right thing OSU covered it up and thus played with players who should not have been playing
Because no longer having their trophies and memorbillia makes them appear to be less than the studs that they are? I know where you are going...it's because they were playing ineligible players and that is cheating right? Well guess what, those players kicked your can on the football field ineligible or not.
Key word here, ineligible. You stating that they won games doesn't make them any less guilty, it just makes you look like an idiot that would rather make an excuse then be accountable and face the facts that your program is dirty. They did that without any enhancements, money, or benefits from friends, boosters, or family.
Enhancements? Probably not the word you were looking for. Car dealers sold players cars at basically no interest rate, they gave them loaners that would rival a brand new car, if I am not mistaken Troy Smith did take money from a booster as well. TP said he received money from a family friend, and OSU confirmed only to say he was not a booster at the time. Family didn't give their own kids money? That is another stupid comment, of course they did.
And I do believe that they have given those earned wins back.
playing with ineligible players will get you that. Would they have been earned if those players would not have been on the field?

On a side note, I believe that those losses stay on your record.....and that is nice to know.
Those losses actually don't, in the record books Michigan last season is 7-5 instead of 7-6.

You could possibly be right, Peake. I have researched many times over in the past and come up with different answers. Some sites say that only wins get taken away, some say the losses stay, some only coaches record get changed, some say an asterik will be placed by the loss of the opposing team, and some say the wins get erased and the loss stays on the opposing team records. I don't know the exact answer, but I know I prefer the latter. :122245

Expect lots of Miami players to bail out.

YSU gained two redshirt Frosh this season from Miami-- DeVontae Davis at CB who was listed as the projected back-up at Miami for this season and Travis Williams who was projected to start at LB. Both will start for YSU.

Michigan is still 7-6. Ohio State doesn't get credit for the win, but Michigan still gets the loss.

If they did nothing wrong neither did Tressel, Pryor, or anyone else at Ohio State.

Why OSU fans feel the need to justify their situation and make it seem that what OSU did was "not that bad" is just hilarious.

We OSU fan arent trying to justify what they did ,but there is a great big difference from tats and selling their stuff to $50,000 handshakes ,abortions and hookers .OSU will pay for what they did .but what they did down there pales in comparisan to the piddly stuff they got the bucks for.

Congrats you're just scuzzy while Miami is "really" scuzzy.

Glad you cleared it up for me.

If Peake would take a moment from his hatred of OSU (or his recruiting websites), he would see the view from us OSU fans. We are not saying that what happened at OSU is not against the rules. What went on at the "U" cannot be put in the same sentence, if PROVEN true. However, here in South Beach everyone knows it happened and are praying that it is not proven.

Which gives my team more of an advantage or makes recruits want to come to my school?

If I SELL MY belongings for discounted or free tattoos.
OR
If someone PAYS ME with cash, women, dinners, night clubs, yachts, abortions, and other gifts.

See the difference in our views yet....The "U" fans understand this better than OSU fans.

Oh well... you can teach a student, but you cannot make them learn. We will enjoy probation with the rest of you Michigan fans.

Why because we actually make comments that are based on logic?

Why do you feel the need to bring Miami into your own wrong doings? Again to make yourself feel better about being scuzzy, you have to justify that someone else is scuzzier then you.

So you are trying to sell to me that a recruit is looking at this from which is worse scenario? You have to be kidding. The only people looking at things like this is crazy fans who have to tell themselves what they did is not "that bad". It really is pathetic, considering this is supposed to be the school that holds themselves to a higher standard morally as your once famous coach proclaimed.

YEs come enjoy probation with us as we are on the backend of our two year probation. All the while you gave your season back. Try again.

OSU wins games, UM loses them. People like Peake keep on hatin', keep their hopes high with the next round of Ohio boys that go to tsun.

Nuff said. Go Bucks.

Gave our season back?
Yeah, the media guide can't mention it, but I still remember every game of it, and that's what matters!

I'd rather officially not have a good season, than officially have what Michigan has went through for 4 years!

Remember every single second of the season in which you chose to use ineligible players. Now remember the big ten title you no longer have and remember that you still have yet to beat an SEC team in a bowl.

I would much rather lose games and do things the right way then take egg on my face and get exposed for what most knew you were all along. Your coach was a fraud, your players were frauds, your boosters are exactly what we thought they were.
OSU wins games, UM loses them
All time wins
1. Michigan
5. OSU

National Titles
MIchigan 11
Ohio State 7

Big Ten Titles
1. MIchigan
2. Ohio State

All time series OSU-UM
MICHIGAN

keep dreaming

Maybe you forgot the final four banner you gave back with Scoonie and Redd?

This is why no one can stand Ohio State fans, this coming from an OSU fan. It starts off as a Miami FL thread, but yet turns into an "OMG Ohio State is so good, it's been 2,837 days since UM has beaten them". The tide will turn and OSU fans won't be able to handle it.

As for Miami who knows what will happen. I'm guessing loss of scholarships, strict recruiting restrictions, and bowl bans.

I personally don't care what others think of Ohio State fans. Also, I like to watch OSU play football and basketball. That's it! I never attended the university and don't proclaim to be a booster in any name or form. As far as I'm concerned, OSU football is the best pro football in the state. I find it delusional that major college football is still held in esteem by some as a pure amatuer athletic venture. It is big business involving big money and human nature being what it is, some who participate will seek personal gain. Words like "scuzzy" wash right off my back. In the words of Al Davis, "Just win, baby!" The NCAA is an archaic institution that will one day either evolve or die. If Texas makes big bucks off their network and The BTN continues to enrich their constituent teams, more will seek to get in on the money and the scandals you are hearing about now will seem quaint. Don't like that? Tough! So, in the meantime, today is August 30th, 2011. It has been 2,838 days (7 years & 283 days) since Michigan last beat Ohio State in football - GO BUCKS!
