Re: Week 1: OSU vs Miami
Growing pains should be expected.
I wouldn't want to play in the SEC and start that many true freshmen either!

To Be honest I think this team is going to be pretty good.... No pressure and it seems like there is a intensity and sort of a swagger with this team kinda news air in the sails... Got Bucks

Here's hoping that strength of schedule has a great influence over the new playoff format starting in 2014. The fewer games like this, the better.

The Urban Assult Era begins.
GAMEDAY!!!
Get ready for no huddle, fast paced offense, and smash mouth Silver Bullet Defense!
Watch the defensive line, there isn't an O-Line in college football that can block them.

Probably the best D line in the country.....with or without Williams!seofan_via_dublin wrote:The Urban Assult Era begins.

I think Urban will keep the pedal to the metal every game, regardless of the score or opponent. He will be trying to make a point, and that point starts today!
O-H

Re: Week 1: OSU vs Miami
It's all about the 'O' I think the Bucks will be stought on defense but I'm interseted to see the level of execution on offense. Do they have the personnel and the timing to pull off this offense?
Re: Week 1: OSU vs Miami
Oh boy not the start fans envisioned! Should be losing 14-0 right now.Their QB is hitting rceivers, ours is not and the secondary is getting torched thus far, thank god for dropped passes,I hope after I write this things change drastically

Your right. The offense looks very sloppy at best.C-Bolt wrote:Oh boy not the start fans envisioned! Defensively, oh boy. Miami is converting passes at will. Its hard to get pressure on a QB that throws everything on a 2-3 step drop but our secondary looks completely LOST!

Listening to the Meyer interview before kickoff, I thought he seemed very confident in what the team was going to do today vs Miami. Almost like he knew something that we didnt know. I bet his tune changes a bit for the halftime interview!

Re: Week 1: OSU vs Miami
It's looking, well, "rough" at best right now. Hopefully we can turn things around and keep the Miami passing game in-check and starting getting some production on the offensive side of the ball.
Re: Week 1: OSU vs Miami
I think for this game he was probably more wrapped up into the whole Ohio State atmsophere being his first game than the game itself,Hyde need to get rolling and its looks like they might be starting to wake up.What a one handed catch by Smith :122246

Re: Week 1: OSU vs Miami
I like the call to go for the TD even though it was not successful since OSU gets the ball to start the second half.
I dont think Meyer likes the thought of kicking a FG from the 1 yd line with 3 seconds left. Good call!
