Tyler Rue is a two year letter winner and a senior and he was the backup last season.

I think Mr.Logan could very well be the started.

Interesting story -- YSU is in Spring football with the Red-White game tonite. The concern is for a back-up to record setting QB Kurt Hess ( who may be drafted as a Pro QB). Angle was clearly the most talented back-up, near Hess, and was #2 for two years. Then there is a big dropoff to #3 & #4. One QB was shifted to FS but then shifted back as the other failed as the backup. The other QB hasn't panned out and looks to be no help. Incoming parochial QB is to be red-shirted. Angle didn't play much but was a valued back-up that would have started for the last 2 years if not for the QB ahead of him. If ONU has some players, Angle could turn them around immediately.

I wish him lots of luck! I hope he breaks school records and helps turn that team around. I am even more excited that he is getting a college education. Far too many of the kids who are recruited to play at the next level from SE Ohio can't handle sports and the class work tgat comes with being a student.

Patrick transferred to Ohio Northern for the spring semester 2013. In addition to being able to participate in spring ball he also was on the Dean's List. He enjoyed his first summer "off" in 3 years (but maintained his workouts all summer), and looks to be the starting QB for the Polar Bears this year. Check out ONU's schedule because he will be playing a lot closer to Logan the next two years. I for one am excited to watch him be able to do what this kid was born to do. He has worked too darn hard to not have played up at YSU and it's about time he get the chance to prove himself at the collegiate level.

I'm planning on making a trip to Otterbein and maybe 1 to Mount to watch Patrick play.

Closest games this year for Logan fans are Sept. 28 at Capital Univ. in Bexley ( Columbus) and Nov. 2 at Muskingum College in New Concord ( east of Zanesville on I-70). Otterbein and Mt. Union are at ONU this year . ONU is in Ada just outside Lima.
