(Baseball)Michigan State 7 Winthrop 0

Post by LICKING COUNTY FAN »

Michigan State (12-2) had an easy time defeating Winthrop (8-7) today. This marks the third Big Ten team I have watched on ESPN PLUS this season. The Spartins had a bullpen day with Gannon Grundman (Howell, Mich.) going three innings to pick up the win. He stands 1-0 on the season. Picking up the save was, Dominic Pianto (Hendersonville, Tenn.)—his first of the season. Nick Williams ( Racine, Wis.) and Caleb Berry (Knoxville, Tenn.) each went yard for the first time on the season. Williams had two hits, scored two runs, and had the one RBI on his dinger. Berry had two hits, scored a run and drove in two. Randy Seymour (Frankfort, Ill.) also had two runs batted in. Sam Busch (East Lansing, Mich.) walked three times and drove in a run.
For Winthrop, Dusty Vela (Chico, CA) had a double to lead the offense.
