Re: The U: Kiss Miami Goodbye!
I just wonder if Michigan returned their ill-gotten gains distributed from the Sugar Bowl as a result of scuzzy OSU participating? OSU gave up their share!

We better be careful what we write about peake on here. At this very moment peake and his Duke law student wife are contacting lawyer friends from not just Duke but all over the country to file suit on all of us Buckeye fans.

Peake is a good guy, and gives a ton of good info.
The problem lies with the lack of understanding of Ohio State fandom and the mentality it takes to be a Bucknut.
There are no casual fans. Just like Nebraska's style is a better fit for the B10 than the B12, OSU football fans are a closer fit to the craziest of the SEC groups than that of any other B10 school.
At Michigan, they park in the local school lot, eat nice food, have some friendly discussions, everyone gets along, and afterward, they sing Hippie song and have a drum circle, while the wives have a tea party!
That's great, but highly disgusting, and it has no place in college football.
If we were talking about pro teams, Michigan fans would be the Colts, while Bucknuts are Raider Nation!
Give me a brat, a loud band, a case of Natty Light, and an occasional dead rat! (no offense Peake, I wouldn't really throw the dead rat and the guys who did should be horse whipped) but it's funny!
The thing is, if you park in an area where you have to walk down Lane, past the college bars and that one house that all the crazies gather at, then Don't parade yourself in full opposing colors!
I wouldn't do this at Madison, I would recommend not doing in in CBus!
Sure, I'm certain that people are offended by Buckeye fans on game day, but it is still a very small minority of people who give OSU fans the bad name. I've tailgates at OSU with Michigan fans, they have a great time every year, and they never have had any issues.
Yep, people will say we are rude to them, and we should behave better. To them I say, realize that you are an extension of your team, and frankly your not liked on game day. Are there people who are out of control, yes, but for every story an opposing fan tells, I've heard a story of Buckeye fans being abused on the road just as bad!
So in the end, just realize your audience, realize that we aren't going to change, and that when challenged we will circle the wagons and defend our team to the bitter end.
