I went to this game and loved every second of it. Ohio State fans are the most obnoxious group of people I have ever seen. I used to be a Buckeye fan until I worked with a bunch of Ohio St fans and then I realized why they are hated. According to most of them, Ohio St never gets beat by a better team, something always costs them the game. Nothing better than driving 5 hours to watch the Bucks get their butts whipped and watching Buckeye fans walk back to their vehicles, heads down in defeat knowing they were just manhandled by a 1-5 team who lost to Northern Illinois and Northwestern. Maybe this loss will bring a few of these fans down a few notches!!

Purdue is sloppy. They are bad. BUT, have been in many games this year. Still no excuse for OSU to play the way they did. But Purdue is talented. Look out UM, they may have your number too.

Fan is a shortened word for fanatic.
Never apologize for high expectations, never be happy with anything less than perfection,
and never, ever, let a fan of another team talk bad about yours.

If you don't have what it takes to be a part of Buckeye Nation, then get the hell out!!!
I'm sure teams like Notre Dame, PSU, or Michigan will be glad to let you on their bandwagon.

Also, apparently you've never been to a game in Madison, WI if you think that the Buckeye fans are
the worst.

This is ridiculous. Living with Boston people drives me nuts too, but it would be very "pre-1960s" of me to group them all as even similar. Each fan is an individual. Many individuals are idiots. OSU has a lot of fans. A lot of OSU fans are idiots. It's pretty simple.

When it comes to the idiot-per fan ratio, OSU is tied for worst fan-base and best fan-base. If you catch my drift. The huge number of them makes the idiots appear more numerous.

In daily life, you'll notice and take note of every obnoxious idiot you see. You'll forget the hundreds of mild-mannered people who crossed your path. The idiot 5 percent always trumps the rational 95 percent.

Why would I want to root for Notre Shame or a Big 10 team when everyone knows the REAL football is played down south. SEC which means Speed Equals Championships and it will continue this year when the winner of the SEC Championship game (Alabama or Florida) takes whoever they play in the National Championship game behind a woodshed.

I love football, but teeth, quality education, tailored suits, and good taste combine to trump it every day.

Anyway, nice to see that you're a fan of a conference rather than a team. Ahh front runners. Got to love them.

You remind me of a Georgia fan who tried to talk trash to me about OSU, while the UF Grad I know is very respectful about OSU's program. I told the Georgia guy to quit living on UF and LSU's success, and to go enjoy his second tier, closely contested bowl games with Michigan State.

And if you don't think Big 10 style football works, then actually watch an Alabama game
instead of hanging onto their coat tails.

Nick Saban is having a wonderful time down south, winning with a huge Big 10 style of play.

Actually, Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Les Miles... all northern guys with major Big 10 ties. They just needed the brains from up north to come down and coach the talent.

I do not disagree with anything said but the remark by Dubs about Wisconsin. I have been to Wisconsin twice, one for a Marshall and one for Michigan. I was not insulted once.

I have been to several OSU v Michigan games in Columbus. I can tell you that I have been cursed out by every age group and gender. I have walked with my wife and watched guys walk up to her and spit beer on her and myself. Ohio State fans are the worst I have ever been around period.

Then peake, we need to get you some scarlet and grey, and we'll go to the Wisconsin game together.

That is my point. Ohio State fans have a reputation, and I am sure when they go somewhere else they get a bit of what they dish out in Columbus.

I am not saying it is everyone, I agree with Orestes, it is probably just the 5%. I can tell you one thing though, I have never been cursed out by middle aged men anywhere but OSU. I have never had beer spit on me or my wife anywhere but OSU. I have never been flipped off so many times then at OSU. I have never heard the F-word being thrown around like I have in Columbus.

So when OSU fans say they are more intense when it comes to The Game, I ask what is your definition of intense. If the definition is that above, then I agree.

So Peake, you come to Columbus, all decked out in your Maize and Blue. Eager to support your team,
and more than likely throwing a couple Go Blue chants around.

Columbus, on the saturday before thanksgiving. It's cold, it's early in the morning, and the fans wearing scarlet and grey
have been drinking since Wednesday morning!!! Most of the people out tailgating (that are earning the reputation) have drank more
at the point that you walk by, than you have in three months. They are what we like to call TRASHED! And have HUGE beer muscles.

Oh, and because you are wearing that Maize and Blue, and are in town on this Hallowed Day, THEY HATE YOU!!!

Not polite hate, like how the Klan hates black people. Or friendly hate, like how Hitler hated the Jewish race.

They hate you in a way that is only possible to conceive if you are in fact one of them.

Coming down dressed in your crap colors, chanting your gay chat (go blow), in that atmosphere, is like
an islamic militant walking into a NYC firefighters convention and shouting, Death to the American Infadels.

They HATE YOU that much.

Now, how exactly did you expect to be treated?
