Gentlemen let's talk about football! ;) .. Who gives a sh*t who can spell the right way or structure a sentence together. I surely don't.
No offense to any involved but let's talk football and not useless stuff to the topic.
In all fairness to peake he is one of the better posters on here and has alot of good information and insight to the college football world

Re: The Game! It's OSU/Michigan Week!!!
from the Dan Patrick show this morning. there is an audio link for the full interview if you haven't heard it.

Michigan coach Brady Hoke joined the show to talk about his season and some of the changes happening around the Big Ten.
Dan asked Hoke his reaction to Ohio State hiring Urban Meyer. â€Not good,†Hoak said. Hoke said he knows Meyer well and it will be fun, but this will be challenging.

Re: The Game! It's OSU/Michigan Week!!!
Also heard Brady Hoke's comments on the DP show.........Hoke may have a leg up on Meyer on Ohio recruits, but I think that Meyer will soon take command of the Buckeye State.........and his connections to Florida should be a gold mine for OSU.
Re: The Game! It's OSU/Michigan Week!!!
I don't think Hoke will ever have "command" of Ohio, no UM coach every had "command" but the trick is grabbing a difference maker away from the Bucks. If UM can continue to get Fitz Toussiants, Mario Manninghams, Charles Woodsons, Desmond Howards, Elvis Grbacs, and kids like that they won't need to only recruit Ohio.
This year the top player in Ohio is still a buckeye, but the difference makers in this class from Ohio, several went to Michigan, and that is key. They already nabbed Dynomite Thomas, possibly the #1 player in the state, that is all they need to do is grab a couple.
Now that Penn State is all but done, Pennsylvania will be open for business to Ohio and Michigan.
Urban will be a great fit for Ohio, and I believe Brady is an excellent fit for Michigan.
In the recruiting battle in Ohio I don't think it is a secret Urban will win more then he losses v Brady.

The war is on. Meyer has already called 11 of Michigan's 23 recruits. All have said they are solid to UM and three of those are early signees so I doubt he can work his magic that quickly.

He's calling the guys that Hoke stole when he came in and checking.
It's procedure.

@Dubs,
LOL.
I really think if he wants to get Pharoh Brown, TE, they can get him. He was a Michigan decommit recently. He is an athlete, 6'6 235. Reminds me of Brandon Moore coming out of high school. Michigan told him if he took a trip then his scholly would go back on the market, he took it to Oregon, so they dropped his commitment. Kid is a good player, Urban might snag him.
I don't see any of the Michigan kids switching, but I did talk to the midwest analyst, and he told me watch SaVon Pittman. Said Pittman has wanted to be a buckeye and has been looking for a chance to make the switch from Michigan State.
Something worth noting too. Said he thinks Michigan wideout recruiting is going to be a little easier with Urban because UM wants big physical wideouts, and Urban wants the lean quick guys. He said you'll see OSU go aftermore guys like UM has currently (probably more skilled though), and UM will go back to Braylon type of wideouts.
LOL.

Re: The Game! It's OSU/Michigan Week!!!
How did you get that from what I said?
He said wideout recruiting will be more guys like Harvin. He wants guys who can make you miss in space, not guys who are using their bodies to get position.
OSU wideouts will look more like this: 5'10-6'1 180ish very quick and able to make you miss in space
MIchigan wideouts will look more like this: 6'1-6'3 215ish strong and good hands
So, OSU will look like old Florida or present Oregon, and UM will look like Alabama or LSU.

OSU has always had the speed, problem is using it, and having it in space instead of power O.

Re: The Game! It's OSU/Michigan Week!!!
I'm back in the OSU house for the first time in about 22 years. It's refreshing to know an Ohio boy with an offensive mind that's kept up with the times is running the team now. There are a lot of people at my place of employment who are dumbfounded and blind that don't understand why OSU would hire Meyer. These same people praised everything Cooper and Tressel did for the last 20 years and some of them wouldn't know what a football was if it hit them in the face and hate anyone from the SEC, Big-12 and Pac-12. I love the look on their faces here the last couple weeks and most of them are speechless when we talk about it, it's so priceless. I think at least now, when OSU goes to a big bowl game that means something at the end of the year they'll have a chance to win with this coach and I'll leave it at that. Go Bucks !!!!!

Re: The Game! It's OSU/Michigan Week!!!
Considering Tress won 63% of his BCS games, we were not without a chance before!
Urban can bring the spread, but a spread without great defense is RR's Michigan teams and Northwestern!
Defense, special teams, time of possession, and field position are still the most important factors in the game.
And Coop, had several of the best teams in OSU history!!!
But, welcome back aboard!
