1. Ohio State 2. USC 3. Michigan 4. Florida State 5. Nebraska 6. Miami, Fla 7. Florida 8. Penn State 9. Alabama 10. Oklahoma
That is pretty hard. Nebraska had the best team I ever saw with T. Frazier or at least the most dominant. Also FSU had a really good team with Charlie Ward. Overall, that is the best I can do but I am sure I have left some teams out and included some that may not be worthy of "all time best". Florida's teams have had a great run the past 20-25 years but prior to that ???????? ALOT of great programs out there!
1. FSU- 9 straight ACC Titles, 2 National TItles, and played in 4 NC all together. A run of top 5 finishes that will never be toped. 2. Nebraska- I really want to put them at #1 but they were awful in bowls from 1988 until 94 (0-7). They were probably the most dominate team I have ever witnessed in 95, but they have been marginal since they lost in the NC in 2002. 3. Miami, FL- 236 wins, 5 National Titles since 1983. 4. OSU- 9 Big Ten Titles and a National Title, while also playing in 3 NC. 224 wins during this time period. 5. USC- Has two National Titles and also have played in another. Have been one of the most consistant teams since 2002. 6. Oklahoma- Two National Titles, played in 3 NC, 220 wins,9 conference titles. 7. Michigan- Winningest team of all-time, 229 wins during this time, 11 big ten titles, 1 NAtional Championship, and played in 2. 8. PSU- A national title in 1986 and another perfect season in 94 that should have resulted in a share of the NC. 215 wins over this period. 9. Alabama- 194 wins, 1 National Title, only 4 conference titles. 10. LSU- 2 National Titles, 5 SEC Championships. Not very consistant from 1988-94.
Here is a listing of several key catagories we should use to fuel this debate The question is, top 10 teams over the last 25 years. I only included teams that have been in D1-A for 100% of the past 25 years. The seasons over the last 25 years would include 1982-2007.
