coaching change? your kidding me right, all Solich has done at OU has won games, even though i understand he hasn't done so well in the postseason and granted they just gave the game away to NIU, i don't think there gonna fire a coach who has the most success with the football program since?
Re: Ohio Bobcats football
Coaching change? Really? do you remember what Ohio's records were before Solich arrived? Yeah not very good. He is an excellent coach and he has the program on the brink of taking the next step. I feel like OU fans are turning into OSU and turning into spoiled fansOrange and Brown wrote: :122247 :122247 :122247 WAY TO CHOKE BOBCATS!!!!!
Can't wait to see you choke in your bowl game!!
If they can't win a Bowl game this year then I say it is time for a coaching change!!!

JHS-08.... Should we settle for just making it to the conference championship game and a Bowl game?

Re: Ohio Bobcats football
I was disappointed that they blew such a lead, but even a few years back OU fans wouldve killed for the chance at being in Detroit for the opportunity to win a championship. Frank has brought us to a level of consistently winning, but now it's time for the next step and winning the MAC and a bowlOrange and Brown wrote:JHS-08.... Re: Ohio Bobcats football
Well IMHO I believe that Ohio should have already made that next step.... I like coach Solich (other than that nasty little drunk driving insident a few years ago) . He has done a great job of turning the Cats into a competitive team but at what point are we as fans allowed to expect this team to win a game that matters ie... The MAC championship and or a Bowl game? When you blow a 20 point lead that points to COACHING.... In big games he coaches not to loose instead of coaching to WIN...... With all that said I am Rooting my ARSE off for that Cats against Utah State! GO CATS!!JHS08 wrote:I was disappointed that they blew such a lead, but even a few years back OU fans wouldve killed for the chance at being in Detroit for the opportunity to win a championship. Re: Ohio Bobcats football
Coaching change? Heck no. The biggest advantage we have on ALL Mid American Conference schools is that we have very little to zero coaching staff turnover from year to year. We screwed the pooch in Detroit, yes. But after we were blown out in the New Orleans Bowl by Troy, the coaching staff adopted Troy's style of offense and it's paid off dividends.
This team has a lot of talent. We're losing key players, but I think we'll be better next year than we were this year. We'll learn from the MAC championship meltdown to play four quarters en route to back to back MAC titles.

I thought Roback's name sounded familar, did his dad used to QB for Trimble? Speaking of QB'S this Tettleton is something,by far the best QB I have ever witnessed down there,he can run and throw and is only a soph,OU has a bright future ahead of them

Re: Ohio Bobcats football
Derek Roback was a standout WR at Waverly his Freshman and Soph. seasons (Trevor Walls QB), and then ran the offense as a Junior and Senior. OU beefed him up allot for the TE position.
Re: Ohio Bobcats football
If I recall, didn't Derek make All-State as a punter one year too?
Great athlete and he was always a good sport in interviews.
