best defense in the nation, good special teams, horrible offense if pryor doesnt stop playing "me" ball instead of "team" ball he needs to take a seat on the bench and let bauserman lead the offense and use pryor for a wildcat package

The offense didn't look good, but I have to
factor in the fact that they went nearly an hour of actual
time without taking the field.

During that hour the Buckeyes outscored the Badgers 14-3

The entire offensive line has lost practice time the past 2 weeks with
the flu, and when you are trying to build up an O-Line, that missed
time hurts.

If you don't like the flu excuse, that's fine, but it worked for Florida too.

The offense just didn't get to play much with the way the game was going. Still should have done more at this point of the season agaist Wisconsin.

Pryor didn't play well then couldn't even find his helmet for the first offensive play the second half. Having talent and skills are wonderful but he can not do it consistently during the game. People do get excited that he could break one anytime he touches the ball. The team needs a QB to make plays. Like the year Tressel won the National Championship. People din't care for the QB because his skills were not the best but he won games. He also made plays when it counted. Pryor was able to dominate at the high school level but his game has not risen since he has moved up a level against better competition.

The offensive line needs to play better but when a team doesn't have to worry much about the pass it makes it hard on the line. The team needs to find a way to do more and just do it instead of waiting on Pryor.

Is top 5 defense in the nation okay with you?

As for the offense, they snapped the ball 40 times. There have been games where one RB carries the ball 40 times alone. Wisconsin ran 89 plays I believe, and had 42+ minutes in time of possession. OSU's offense did not see the ball in the second half until 1 minute remaining in the 3rd quarter. Defensive and ST scores will do that to you.

However, on OSU's last two attempts at moving the ball (meaning without the intention of just running clock), their drives resulted in a TD and a FG. OSU also averaged more yards per play than Wisconsin.

I think Pryor's problems are occurring between the end of the play and the start of the next one. OSU was slow to the huddle, slow to get the play in, and slow to get the ball snapped. This gives him too much time to think IMO. When OSU upped the pace, he took them right down the field for a TD. I'd look for more of that from now on.

Top 5 I can maybe live with...I wont say they are the best by any means...

Florida has the best defense in the country. Followed closely by Alabama. Penn State, Texas, USC, LSU, Ohio State and others follow after that.

Florida has the best defense in the country. Followed closely by Alabama. Penn State, Texas, USC, LSU, Ohio State and others follow after that.

Yes. Followed closely.

Florida has the best. Bama is a close second. After that it isnt as close.

Stat wise, I will disagree about Texas and Penn State. We will see how good Texas's defense is Saturday.

I'll take Bama's defense over Florida's.
Better coached, harder hitting, and have actually played teams
that could test it.

Better coached? Really?

Ill say that Alabama has a better defensive line...but they dont have a better LB group or a better secondary. Florida's secondary is the best in the country. Period.

Alabama has given up 7 TDs...Florida has given up 2...

Put VTech on Florida's schedule, and they will have more than 2.

You shouldn't have a bunch of TDs scored on you if you play Charleston Southern, Troy, and UK
in your first 5 games.

Bama has had 62 more plays ran against them and 290 more yards gained on them, oh yeah, that's because they've
played one more game than Florida has.

Also, if you're using the TD method of measuring defense, then, OSU has the smae amount of TD's against as Bama does.
So back to the, OSU's defense is better than u think discussion.

OSU gave up 2 TDs to Indiana...Again, Florida has given up 2 TDs all year.

Would Va Tech have scored 5 TDs on Florida? No.

Common Opponents
UK points scored on Florida-7
UK points scored on Bama-20

Indiana called time out with 6 seconds left in the game so that they could score at home, on
and entire second team D.

As for VTech scoring 5, I don't know, maybe they would.
Didn't expect for Ole Miss to whip the Gators in the swamp last year either did ya!

Whip? I didnt know you get "whipped" losing by 1 point? Especially when there was a blown chance to win it with under a minute to go...But, yes, I guess they did get "whipped"...I guess winning the National Title wasnt enough?

But actually, I did expect that game to be close. I didnt expect to get "whipped"...

Well, the defense got whipped. The offense for Florida kept it close.

I don't care about ranking the D past agreeing that one belongs in the elite units of college football. Any further comparison made between them is grasping at straws. They play different offenses, on different days, in different situations.

The defense did get "whipped" I guess...that was the only game all year someone put up more than 21 on them.

If the Ole Miss offense "whipped" the Florida defense, then what did Navy do to Ohio State? Would you call that "whipping" them? Just curious.
