I'm not saying the kid's not good (he's legit), but I'm saying we need to slow down before we call him a Heisman contender. He has played against an extremely weak schedule with some cupcakes and a FCS team that they almost lost against. He and his team will finally play against a team that is noteworthy this Saturday. The best team they've played to this point is ND, they are a little better this year, but still not a prominent team. Until he can put up the numbers against the good teams, I'm not willing to call him a contender yet.peake wrote:Red-dog,
Sorry Buckeye fans to post on your thread about Michigan, but that great Wisconsin defense that just gave up 34 to MSU in a LOSS? We will see this weekend against a defense that is much better then Wisconsins. How about the Iowa defense he ran all over last year? We shall see but to say the kid is not for real is hilarious.
Anyways, I think the Dline will give Indiana enough truble that they will get much more pressure on Chappel. Indiana is as soft as tissue paper against the run. I say OSU will run it, mix in some play action, and win in a conservative game.
OSU 35
Indiana 17
I'm not bashing him in anyway, he's a very good athlete, I'm just saying he will finally be put to the test on Saturday. We will all see if he really is a Heisman contender or not.
