Offense showing signs of the short week. So Urban does have a short leash on Cardale. Not sure it's all on him but the O isn't firing on all cylinders. Defense is playing lights out. The hardest thing this season will be getting them up emotionally for every game.
Re: HAWAII @ OHIO STATE. YOUR THOUGHTS HERE.
As bad as Hawaii offense has been playing OSU only has 14 points, unebelievable! Meyer will be opening up a serious can of whoopazz at halftime
Re: HAWAII @ OHIO STATE. YOUR THOUGHTS HERE.
First drive of second half = nothing.

Man Jones is having a bad game! Should have had two picks now, hope he snaps out of it soon
Re: HAWAII @ OHIO STATE. YOUR THOUGHTS HERE.
A measly field goal after having first and goal, totally shocking! As many turnovers as the defense has caused they should be winning 50-0

Wasted a turnover in the red zone. Where is the Power I? It's a Woody kind of day.

TOSU winning out 38-0 is a Woody/Tress game for sure. Funny how after the CFP run, a 38 point margin of victory is unsatisfying. Bucks were not sharp but were coming off of a short prep week and likely emotional let down after VPI.dazed&confused wrote:Is Tressel calling in plays?

Defense played great.
O-Line played like poop.
Mike Thomas is only true WR getting time.
Short rest or not, splitting practice reps with QBs doesn't make either better.
Braxton keeps every wildcat, must do something different to get opposing defenses to play honest.
All issues that Urban understands, and will get fixed.

Offensive line play was terrible. False starts, missed assignments. Everyone standing around waiting to watch the big play.
Urbs needs to stick with Cardale (or JT) and go with it. Can't have a QB thinking one mistake puts him on the bench. Cardale played wide open last year because he knew he was it.....need to get back to it.
Braxton needs to throw out of the wildcat, I'm sure he will against the right opponent and the right time. Jalin Marshall will be fine. Sitting out/not practicing with the 1's the past 2 weeks hurt him. Look for him to get much better.
Main concern is the offensive line. They should have pushed Hawaii's d line to The Indiana state line and didn't.

Found it ironic those in SEC land whining about tOSUs schedule and the biggest whiner of them all lost to Toledo and Auburn had all they could handle.
Re: HAWAII @ OHIO STATE. YOUR THOUGHTS HERE.
The offense has the next few weeks to find its identity. If they can do that, they will be fine.

Exactly. Bret Beliema won't be giving too may sound bytes about B1G scheduling anytime soon.
Karma.
Re: HAWAII @ OHIO STATE. YOUR THOUGHTS HERE.
Thank goodness for defense, the score really doesn't show how lacking the offense was today. I didn't think the Rainbows would score after watching their first series, but their defense showed some grit and quickness. No doubt the kinks will be worked out this week in practice, cause next weeks opponent is the team that took MSU to task last week. Good win for the BUCKS though.

Re: HAWAII @ OHIO STATE. YOUR THOUGHTS HERE.
I was stewing a little when the Bucks were "only" up 14-0 at the half. But it was sloppy play and missed opportunities more than anything that concerned me. I did like it that Urban wasn't totally buying into the "we sucked" attitude at the end. He did give credit to Hawaii for putting up a fight. I look at this as the exhibition season for the Bucks. They played poorly, except for the defense, and still the game was never in doubt. I think by the time Sparty comes to town, they'll be playing their A game.
