He said they didn't offer him untill later in the recruiting process because of his poor performance at their camp. This was just a one day performance camp he was at---no 40's, vertical, etc.

Ted Ginn, Sr.====   Lloyd Carr

Bob Lichtenfels - Army All-American Bowl
J.T. Turner, 6-2/185, Defense Back, Massillon, Ohio
Michigan Commitment
J.T. Turner

Turner is currently rated as a four-star safety, but from what we saw out of him this week makes us believe that he can play cornerback. He deserves to be one of the top fifty players in the nation. At 6-foot-2, 185-pounds, it is rare to see a kid with that kind of size that can open his hips and run with anyone, but yet still be physical enough to hit like a safety and squat on the run.

Marcus Hall interview on michigan.scout.com

“Michigan is my leader right now,” Hall reported. “I had a good time this weekend. The visit was real nice. I really didn’t expect it to be that nice. It was so organized and I was very comfortable with everyone. Michigan having a 3-9 season does not bother me. That just means they need players and I could play early.”

That the Wolverines have rocketed to the top of Hall’s list will come as a surprise to many, especially considering the recent history of elite Glenville prospects heading to Ohio State. For Hall that history has created a familiarity with the Buckeye program, but not an obligation to go there. His coach Ted Ginn Sr. has stressed that to him over and over again.

“I know people think that Coach Ginn is all about Ohio State, but coach is not like that at all,” Hall explained. “He tells me the good and bad about all schools. He has always talked to me and my parents about what is best for me.”

Part of determining what’s best is getting to know his prospective coaches. This weekend he had that chance with Rich Rodriguez.

“Coach Rodriguez is real down to earth and he is so intense,” Hall said laughing. “I asked the players if he is like that for real, and they said he is like that all the time.”

Sam Montgomery star recruit on his visit.

I was impressed by the bond of the players. They were all family. I loved them to death. There's no selfishness. They are all on the same page. They are ready to win some games. And playing opportunity is there. I'm high on Michigan right now. They are two steps ahead of everybody. But I'll wait and make my decision after all the visits."

peake, I don't know anything about this stuff other than what I read, so this is not me...

But, Nevada reconfirmed his "====" on Hall today in a post with the article from the Michigan visit. He also said, "Wagers anyone?"

If you trust your guys, go make some money.

As for me, I am staying out of it either way. I have no clue.

I know, but I enjoy talking recruiting with you, and I like to have fun with your boy Nevada. Notice on the boards me asking him some questions :122246 .

I wish I knew something more---but I don't.

Oh, I enjoy it too. I just don't want to make it sound like I know anything...

And yes, I saw you on there.. haha.... Nevada is pretty cool... but he has some disciples who act as his attack dogs....

Yea, he does great work, but he does miss on some---like EVERYONE does---but don't tell anyone on there that, lol.

Beaver is pretty accurate, he won't say lock, but once the kid goes above 50%, it is pretty much a done deal.

Pryor for example---never went above 50%.

I think there are times he says things to make his readers feel better about when they miss a kid or something, but he isn't a complete tool like people say. He has also helped me out a lot, something I tried Nevada to help me do with no results.

People wonder why the Big10 is down...

1) The Big Ten should be avoiding the "basketball on grass" stuff and replicate the Steelers and Ravens. They could be "the" league that focuses on defense and a smash mouth running game. It fits their weather and works against the undersized/speed teams of the south. OSU and UM are typically just a small touch slower than a team like UF, but they could be that fast and little, but that wouldn't bode well for nasty November football. Instead, they are just a little slower, but are bigger and stronger. Use it. The Big Ten needs to wake up and quit trying to out SEC the SEC or out Pac Ten the Pac Ten. Run the football.

2) Michigan is down. When was the last time OSU, UM, and PSU were all smoking in the same season? When all three schools get it together and join OSU in consistency, the Big Ten will be back to their 1998-2003 levels when they were smacking teams in the bowl games.

Not that is matters in regards to the quality of the hire, but wasn't Gene Chizik the D coordinator for Texas when they won the MNC?

I seem to remember Herbie leading the media gushing because he was the 2004 DC for Auburn and then the 2005 DC for UT which means he won a ton of games straight as a DC.

Ummm. Maybe so. Robinson was at UT going into the 05 season, so maybe that is when he took over Syracuse. He was also the D-Coordinator for hte Bronoco's when they won two Super Bowls.
