Martinez looks like he is throwing a shot put.peake wrote:@Dubs---Worst of all time? Seriously come on. IS he great, absolutely not, but even close to the worst when THE WORST is your current backup, lets be real here.
@fanofsports---why is this about OSU all of a sudden, you do notice this is a Michigan thread right?
Denard as a passer looks like Joe Montana compared to Martinez.

If you take athletic ability, speed, and escapability out of the equation, there is no difference between Bauserman, Robinson, and Martinez.
Solely as passers, they all 3 SUCK!

Hoke has spent so much time telling the world how he is turning the tables on his rivals, that he forgot to tell his team to shake hands even if you STILL lose.
Nice win by State today

Re: Michigan #11 Coaches Poll
UM did not play the best but were in the game at the end. The relied on some long throws but Robinson also got lucky MSU does not have the best hands on defense. The wind made it harder to play this game. MSU played well enough to win.
The int for a TD by MSU where the announcers were saying it was a clear taunt. To me it looked like he was pointing to to team mate who just raised his hands to block Robinson. I do agree about the not shaking hands.

I didnt see the game, but how was Michigan in it at the end since they lost by 14? Did Mich State score late in the game?
Re: Michigan #11 Coaches Poll
Red it was a close game until Denard throw to a spot and sparty took it back for a td with around 4 minutes left,, Mich state made this much harder for them selves today with all the penalties and 2 fumbles, could have been easier....

UM didnt shake hands? That is pretty classless. Not a good way to represent yourself as a new coach in the Big Ten. Hoke seemed like a pretty decent guy too.
I didnt see this one, but I heard that Mich State could have made it a pretty one sided game if they would have not shot themselves in the foot.

Of course, to UMs defense, if they would have shaken hands, they likely would have experienced more late hits and personal fouls!!!
MSU had more penalties (13) than Michigan had completions (12)!!!

LOL. I think it is a bit IRONIC how some Michigan posters talk down all season about OSU and their issues, then have a team that doesnt shake hands after a game. Pathetic.seofan_via_dublin wrote:Of course, to UMs defense, if they would have shaken hands, they likely would have experienced more late hits and personal fouls!!!

And one would have to think that not shaking hands would have been planned, since it is just natural to do that after every game. Its not something that someone just forgets to do.
Re: Michigan #11 Coaches Poll
Mich St. looked good ( except for the penalties). Mich didn't look good at all.
OSU should beat scUM
OSU should beat scUM
Re: Michigan #11 Coaches Poll
I watched the game and couldn't figure out what Hoake was trying to accomplish.Cheering like hell for MSU this weekend.
Re: Michigan #11 Coaches Poll
Dubs i agree with you on the comment about the passers they are all terrible .Ive been saying all year that when this team meets a decent defense they will be beating like they were yesterday.and it will contiue with denard at qb.

Where did Peake go?
Maybe he would like to give us insight as to why UM wouldnt shake hands after the game?

@Dubs
I've come over to your side. You are right, as dynamic an athlete as Robinson is, he is not a QB. The wind was awful and I get that, hell when I walked into the stadium my hate flew about 15 rows down, but MSU was stacking 8-9 in the box and Michigan couldn't do anything about it aside from throw 10 yards in.
The postgame---they did shake hands I watched it with my own eyes....http://michiganstate.247sports.com/Boar ... -4938702/1
Hoke even walked up to Gholston, who punched one of his players and shook his hand...http://www.detnews.com/article/20111018 ... m-Gholston
HOke and all of his players did nothing but complement all of the MSU players after the game, including saying the personal fouls were nothing more then part of the game.
Hoke is a class act and I don't know where you all are coming up with they didn't shake hands garbage.
@the game---MSU is a handful. Their D-Line is pretty darn good. Gholston is an absolute terror at the rush end/lb spot. 6'7, 270, and is one heck of an athlete. Kid is Peppers with a mean streak. Going to be a good one.
MSU did an excellent job jumping the snap count. They were in the back field before UM could do anything about it. Point blank, Michigan got beat up front. I said in my comments on this game that whoever controlled the LOS won the game, and MSU did. With that being said, Michigan's defense kept them in this. They created two turnovers when they needed them and I am feeling a lot better about our defense at this point. Michigan with a 4 and 1 on the MSU 34 with a chance to tie it up late, then got another chance to tie it up and Denard throws a pick 6 straight to the MSU defender. Michigan's offense has no identity outside of run the heck out of Denard and pray he breaks loose. Devin has to be the guy going forward, and Denard has to play a Percy Harvin role IMO.
MIchigan is not a great team and I knew they weren't the 11th ranked team in the country, but before selling them off and declaring OSU to beat them you might want to actually watch the game. Michigan had every opportunity to win that game, and despite an awful UM game plan they had a shot late. Michigan didn't do anything to prove to me they can't beat OSU. We shall see though.
