Meyer has to get a grip on the defense. Sure Fickell and Withers are the main focus of blame, but at some point Meyer shouldve had his nose so far up their a$$ they would have been breathing through the same nostrils. I truly believe he thought they could just turn games into a track meet and outscore their opponents.

I agree. They all knew that Cory Brown #3 had absolutely no ability and could not play that safety position, from the very day Bryant was injured, even before. They thought they could simply out score everyone with Brown on the field, and not develop the freshmen....huge mistake and Meyer takes more blame for this then Fickell. In my opinion, Meyer is/was much to lenient with this team. Now he will have an entire defensive backfield all four and five star players, surely they should play better then the three star players that make up NW, Purdue and Iowa.

that was a long, long time ago oaf. I bet that pair of snakeskin boots had 20 different soles put on them before they finally just basically dry rotted. that was many, many moons ago.

Let's put this in perspective. OSU was a top 15 team at best this year. Next year they will be better. They over-achieved. Next year they should compete rightly for the playoffs.
