Michigan Football
Re: Michigan Football
I find it interesting that you continue to harp on this. If he is so solid and sold on BC, why is he all of a sudden having second thoughts and taking visits?
I am not guessing here, I am only passing along information I am told, and I can tell you that today Kyle Kalis said he is confident Sam will be a Wolverine. I have never said he 100% without a doubt be a Wolverine, but according to my sources there is a very good chance he switches.

Re: Michigan Football
Urban Meyer still trying to poach UM players (all is fair in love and recruiting). Was at TE/OT AJ Williams BBall game over the weekend, he tweeted GTFO. He also called DB Terry Richardson after the UA All-American Game, T-Rich said thanks but no thanks. UM has a pipeline at Cass Tech and I don't see UM recruits going to OSU from Cass.
Re: Michigan Football
Good news for UM, 4-star DB Ron Darby former ND Commit is back on the market and scheduled to make a visit to AA.
Also, things not looking good re- Daryl Stonum, so looks like UM trying to get back in it for 4-star Cin Moller WR Monty Madaris. Word is after the commitment of DeAnthony Arnett to MSU, they have no more room.

Re: Michigan Football
This weekend is a huge one for UM recruiting.
Visitors:
1. Current PSU commit Armani Reeves. Getting him on campus is huge.
2. Jordan Diamond-He better commit soon imo or his spot is going to get taken. I still think this is a Wisconsin or Auburn battle for him.
3. Ty Issacs-Top rated RB in the 2013 class.
UM now leads for 5-star OG Joshua Garnett, not saying he lands at UM, but his just declared UM his leader in latest ESPN recruiting article.
So four spots remain.
1. Sam Grant-75%
2. Joshau Garnett-51%
3. Armani Reeves-50% we will see how his visit goes.
4. ????? If Stonum sticks then they backload, if not then they go after a WR IMO.

Re: Michigan Football
Huge recruiting weekend for UM.
Headliners:
1. SAM GRANT- Contrary to what Ironman44 continues to say, it is my opinion that he commits this weekend. He will make his second trip to A2 this week and imo the commitment watch is on.
2. Armani Reeves- Dubs brought up an excellent point with him and his teammate playing together, but a lot of kids say that and it never happens (example Washington and Stanford from Cin Taft). I think UM has a real shot here, let you know after the visit.
3. Ty Issacs- Hearing he is leaning towards Notre Dame at the moment (family is catholic), so this is a great opportunity to pop in the film of Fitzgerald Toussaint, Mike Hart, Chris Perry, Anthony Thomas, Tim Biakabatuka, and Ty Wheatley and ask ND to try and top that over the past 20 years.
4. Jordan Diamond-I used to think this kid was a lock and so did the coaches, but it seems less and less likely due to his desire to play in a spread. I feel this recruitment is trending towards Auburn, but we will see. This is his last stop and it couldn't hurt.
5. Hearing there is a real possibility that current commit Jeremy Clark will move to WR. Michigan needs this big time. This would give UM three big wideouts in the recruiting class w Chesson at 6'3, Darboh at 6'2, and Clark at 6'4. UM feels like Marvin Robinson will be fine at either SS or hybrid LB and Josh Furman at FS will provide enough depth.
So here is how things look at the moment like they will shake out final four commits (in order of confidence).
1. Sam Grant, TE
2. JOshua Garnett-OL
3. Armani Reeves-DB
4.????

Re: Michigan Football
I know this is kinda random Peake but whats up with UM's jerseys I think the should resign with Nike asap the ones they wore in the sugar were horrible....
Re: Michigan Football
Vegas,
I couldn't agree more. As you know everything is all about money, and adidas pays UM more for the branding rights then nike. I wish I knew why to tell you the truth, I think their normal uni's are a classic and shouldn't be messed with. I understood the legacy jerseys w Notre Dame, but I am guessing with everyone doing the new combat uni's and such they are trying to stay hip. Don't know.

Peake i wish they would play a game in the old school white pants... I think they talked about it but it but nothing
Re: Michigan Football
they wore the white pants and white throwback jersey when they played MSU this year. I think that the alternate unis aren't that bad I mean they could be a lot worse.

Re: Michigan Football
A few more recruits are coming in this weekend and next.
This week: Jordan Diamond, Ty Issacs 2013, Armani Reeves, EJ LEvenberry 2013, and a top 2014 recruit.
Next week:WR, Monty Madaris, Cin Moller. Things are not looking good re Daryl Stonum, so UM HAS to get another wideout.

Re: Michigan Football
Here is the latest coming down the stretch.
few team tidbits:
1. Coaches are discussing a position switch for Devin Gardner (QB to WR). If Devin is up to it then they feel confident with his 4.5 speed and 6'4 frame he could really offer them a vertical and red zone threat. This is still in the discussion stage. He would also continue practicing w the QB's as a third option.
2. RFr. QB Russel Bellomey has said to really impressed this season as the scout team QB. If Devin makes the switch the coaching staff feels confident that Russel can step in and do the job. He has good size at 6'3, and worked hard ot get bigger going from 195 to 215 since arriving on campus. He is not a burner but can run (4.7), and has good but not great arm strength. Best comparison would probably be a Jacory Harris type.
3. Decisions being made on who to extend a 5th year. Brandon Moore, Eliot Mealer, Ricky Barnum, and Roco Koury are all safe. It will be interesting to see if guys who were really good on special teams get a 5th year (Terrance Robinson).
Recruiting:
1. In homes this week:Josh Garnett, Jordan Peyton (back on the market), Sam Grant, Armani Reeves.
2. Peyton has de-committed from Cal. His recruiting coach left for Washington. Should be interesting.
3. The coaches get the feeling the Jordan Diamond ship has sailed. Seems to be an SEC kid, Auburn or Arkansas, mayyyybe a buckeye.
4. Best feeling as of now Sam Grant. Notice the poster that often tells me I am wrong has disappeared and won't answer my pm's to where he got the information.
So here is the feeling:
1. Grant=Blue
2. Garnett=Stanford but still a VERY good shot he is Blue.
3. Reeves=either PSU or Buckeye.
4. Peyton=fingers crossed by either ASU or UCLA.
If UM misses out on all but Grant then they will have around 25 schollys to give next year.

Re: Michigan Football
Daryl Stonum dismissed today. Knew it was coming, and notice in the post above Devin Gardner asked to move to WR, wonder why right?

Re: Michigan Football
They already have Amara Darboh, a 6'2, 200, 4-star, and Jehu Chesson, a 6'3, 185, 3-star committed.
Current commit Jeremy Clark, a 6'4, 195, S may be asked to move to WR.
Also, Devin Gardner may be making the switch to WR.
Lastly, they are tossing in their hat to the Jordan Peyton race, 6'2, 210, 4-star who had committed to Cal. I would say there is a 10% chance they land him, so the above scenarios are more likely.

Recruiting final week tidbits:
1. Sam Grant-90%
2. Josh Garnett-75%
3. JOrdan Diamond-51%
4. Armani Reeves-49%
Things looking very good as Michigan closes the class. Nabbing the two OL above, which UM feels realllllly good about would give them the best OL class in the last 10 years probably. Good thing because that OSU DL class is pretty impressive too.
