I'm nopt trying to sound like a Debby Downer here, but I have seen this kid play at least 4 times and he has never impressed me to the point I went hey, this kid is really something. He has good size at 6'3, but by no means is he a burner. He had 545 and 5td rushing, no offense but that isn't setting the world on fire with your legs. He can scoot a little, but he doesn't have wheels so to speak. I watched him against Cabell Midland and Spring Valley last season, and he didn't run away from average high school kids. HE does have a pretty good arm, but not divison one worthy.
His forty was listed at 4.43, and I know in this area I have only seen a handful of 4.5's, Christian Edwards, Josh Waugh, Robbie Issacs, Tabolt McMurry, that's about it. No way this kid is the 56th ranked kid in the country!

Maybe they believe he has a lot of potential...With their reported 4.43 speed and a decent arm, Rivals must think he has the potential to get stronger and have more arm strength...Also, being dual-threat, it makes him even better because most, if not all, college coaches are recruiting dual-threat QBs nowadays...

I feel bad because I fell like I am coming down on the kid, but there is no way he is the 56th ranked player in the country. He will probably be d1 because of potential, but that is it. I wouldn't say he is as good as Jason Harmon was in HS, I know different positions, but Harmon went to MSU, and I just don't see it happening for Crawford.
I guess the big thing is, if people have to go who is CJ Crawford, than that tells you something
