we are not in the mid ohio division of Time Warner Cable. Ironton gets their cable from Ashland Kentucky and I think we will end up getting the shaft from this whole deal. Portsmouth will get it but not us. This is aweful!!

I have heard a couple of positive things now about the Ironton area. I just got off the phone with a Time Warner customer service representative and they said that it didn't matter that our local cable office was located in Ashland kentucky and that we would get the Big Ten Network on basic cable just like everybody else in Ohio. I asked him the channel and he said one hasen't been named yet.
I am also a member of
www.buckeyegrove.com and it is a rivals Ohio State recruiting site and the main writer on that site is named Kevin Noon. He has a contact who works for the Big Ten Network and I e-mailed him my situation and Kevin told me that if they didn't put it on basic cable that we would get it on a digital channel. I don't care if they put it on basic or digital just as long as I have it. I hope one of these stories are true.

when will the channel be up and running? I checked channel 75 where it says will be BTN for us and no picture is shown but sound is heard like they are in the process of changing programing.

I was just now told that we would get the Big Ten Network in standard definition, high definition, and in video on demand. That is what a customer service representative told me we would get in Ironton. When I asked what channel it would be on she told me they didn't have that information yet. If anybody knows of a channel number in Ironton please post it or I will as soon as I find out. Tartanble my channel 75 is acting funny too so maybe that is what it will be in Ironton also.

I dont think it coming to the Ironton area as Ironton receives from Kentucky . I have spoke with them several time about this and they all say the same thing . Not only that, but one would have to have the
expanded basic level of service , which is not the same as basic . Looks as though the Ironton area is going to get the shaft on this one .
