Anyone diehard fan remember a game they should have won and didn't?
When you pretty much play rent a victim early on it's hard to get upset is'nt it???

you dont think Appy State and Utah were "rent a victim" games? so it must not be that hard, Michigan has managed it two years in a row now
you could probably count the number of big time programs that DON'T do this on one hand. it's a good confidence booster and gives younger guys some game experience before getting into the real grit of the schedule. it's nothing new.

All teams trip up and lose some they shouldn't otherwise you would see more undefeated seasons. How long ago was the last one? The great USC lost how many games last year? LSU?

Michigan didn't pick Utah as a gimme game. They played in 2003 and Michigan only won 10-7. This game was schd well in advance and it had nothing to do with it being an easy win. RR said a few weeks prior to the game he wished it wasn't a Top 25 team in Utah to open up with first.
