Would a harbin style system work for the NCAA?

What do you guys think? 4 Points for beating a bcs school, 3 for wins against non bcs schools, 2 for playoff (1-AA), 1 point for wins against d2 or d3 schools, .5 points for wins over JUCO or NAIA schools. Average the 1st and 2nd levels like we do in high school.

There was an article in Sports Illustrated a few years stating Ohio had the best playoff system around. With roughly 750 teams playing football and only 192 making the playoffs the cutoff is going to be pretty high. Occasionally a good team misses the playoffs or a poser makes it in, however, I cannot remember many times when someone with a legit shot to win a state title missed the playoffs.

It wasn't offensive. However, without every team playing each other, which would require either 4 teams as many divisions and produce 20+ champions or 4 times districts and extend the season close to Christmas break. I just really hate the human element involved in polls, so anything you do will need some sort of points system.

I think people figured up the points wrong for Notre Dame. It looked like they were out at 6-4, but when OHSAA released their official results though they were in.
