Florida lost at home to a very average or less than average football team. OSU lost to a top level team, on the road, at night, without their best player.
USC's loss is not much more impressive, and neither is Georgia's. I think USC should be punished for having the attention span of a cocker spaniel just as much as OSU was punished for quitting after falling behind in a big game. They both have two separate problems, but neither is that much worse than the other. Actually, I would rather OSU lose MNC games and to USC, than to drop games against Indiana and Northwestern every year.
Georgia just got hammered on their home field, at night. They got preseason hype from beating a sad Hawaii team in the Southeast US. I called Alabama by 2 tds, and not because of my high opinion of Alabama.
Just throwing it out there... and yes, I am aware I did not post my own top 10.

USC top to bottom is the most talented team in the country, how far can you really drop them? OSU gave up, USC came back. They overlooked a team that is 5-0 in bowl games the past 5 seasons. I know they were blown out by PSU, but that seems to be the way things go when any team goes to either coast. I am not dropping the best team in the country below 7.
Florida is still Florida regaurdless; plenty of talent and the ability to run the table.
UG made a nice little comeback in the second half. I really never thought they were top 5 in the first place.
I know you are trying to make a point but I don't know what it is, aside from you trying to get me to possibly put OSU in my top 10. I think OSU has a lot of talent, but untill they are still not in my top 10, probably about 12.

I hate to say this...but if Ohio State can run the table they can be right back in the thick of things.

Past seasons should have nothing to do with it. This is 2008.
Plus, if Missouri loses twice and OSU wins out, OSU will be in over them, period. I bet if Missouri loses to anyone on their schedule at all, they drop below an OSU team that is still winning. As you can see, both Florida and Auburn dropped below OSU. They are all one loss teams.
Georgia did not drop further, because of the preseason lovefest for them. USC deserves to be ahead of OSU, but not necessarily later in the season if OSU gets it together with all the new players. USC of all teams should understand this, as they whine every season about being the hottest at the end of the year.

i agree that last year is last year and shouldnt be taken into consideration, but we are talking about human nature and most people outside the state of ohio doesnt think ohio state deserves anything right now.

OSU should be 12th now, I'm guessing? Auburn lost its second - no offense in sight for the Tigers.
South Florida (man! they're trying so hard to make the Big East not look like a joke) loses to Pitt, who will probably win the B.E.
