I hope the Buckeyes never get to that point.

I bet something happens soon or Rich might not be there next year. Way to go Toledo Rockets from the MAC. A huge win for the Ohio School. Especially, at the Big House. :-D

What would Bo have said if he was still with us?

WOW :!:

Rich Rod isn't going anywhere. The AD, who brought him to Michigan, isn't going to dump him this soon.

Now, if Michigan is still struggling 3 years from now, then things may be different.

I hope all of the Lloyd Carr haters are happy that we got rid of someone who couldn't win the big game.

Although, he did at least win.

oh boy
well its going to be a long rest of the season

I didnt like the fact that Carr couldnt beat OSU or win in a bowl game

now im not very old so I dont remeber far back but losing to nebraska was awful and losing to Texas was bad even though that texas team won it all the following season and the stomping USC gave us was awful.

but Carr never had a losing season and did produce some great football players. He had values and the players respected him.

Rich Rod well i dont know about him but im not going to be quick to judge so give him more time.

Every team struggles. OSU was what 5-6 or 6-6 in 2000? USC was bad, Texas struggled, Oklahoma has as well. It happends, it is amazing that it has been since 1967 that Michigan has struggled like this.

If any of you OSU or UM fans can tell me when was the last time Michigan has had such little talent and such high inexperience. I can't remember the last time UM was this inexperienced and had such little talent.

RR was handed over a team that was worse than just about any coach since early 60's.

They lost 4 OL (two of whom are in the NFL), two wideouts (who are both in the NFL), all-time leading rusher (NFL), and QB (all-time leading TD's and NFL) and very talented backup.

No way you lose that kind of talent and win the national title.

Next season Michigan will return a line that will only lose one player, a running back who has a year under his belt in the system, all wideouts return, all the TE's, and more skill players that fit what RR wants to do.

Martavious Odoms has been very good so far, and he will only get better. He was a RR player that he snagged during the finals weeks of recruiting. Terrance Robinson is a similar player who was hurt during the early part of the season who is cut out of the same mold. Problem is getting a QB to fit the system. Good news is both Beaver and Forcier are both enrolling in January. My money is on Forcier to win the position.

Michigan will also see very good skilled position players coming in January. There is a good chance that Fitz Toussiant wins Ohio Mr. Football this year, and he and Issah Bell will both be enrolling early.

In a year or so Michigan will be back on top.

Teams that have been beaten by MAC schools: Iowa, Illinois, Bama, Maryland, Clemson, BYU.

If I am not mistaken I can go back to 2004 when Marshall was FG away from taking the mighty Bucks into OT. Maybe you forgot mighty Ohio University held the lead over OSU most of the game this season.

Hey peake they year Marshall should've beat OSU didn't they win the national title the next year. Not saying Michigan will win it, but we will be a different team than this year.

Also what are they doin with Justin F. are they red shirting him this year, if so why if he ain't going to be the starter next year. You'd think the early favs would be one of the QB's coming in right?

Marshall was a good team the year they almost beat the Bucks. But, the Bucks did WIN! What was Toledo? 1-4, from the MAC! at the big house. I don't care what you say but when you are 24-0 against MAC schools and lose at home against one of the worst MAC schools then you are at the bottom of the barrel. Marshall has lost to WVU, Wisconsin and Cincinnati so don't compare records this year.

Well....

OSU went like this:

1999: 6-6
2000: 8-4
2001: 7-5 JT Era (went into the last 2 games in a situation where 2 wins=big10 title, QB suspended on a Friday morning before Illinois game, split the 2 games so Illinois won the Big10. They were in contention for the BCS in November)
2002: 14-0
2003: 11-2 (MoC suspension === No running game at all)
2004: 8-4 (year they almost lost to Marshall. They had lost 14 draft picks from 03. They lost the O-line, QB, WR, D-line, LB, and Secondary. Marshall game was second game of the season, OSU started the season 3-3 before finishing 8-4).
2005: 10-2 (lost to champions,Texas, immediately following Troy Smith suspension, lost to PSU 11-1 on the road at night.. Troy Smith being stupid may have ruined a national champions type team. He had little reps with the starters until after the Texas game, so he had 2 weeks for PSU. That's not much.)
2006: 11-1
2007: 11-2

OSU has not lost to "any" Ohio school in 80 years let alone a MAC school and they have played them all. 6 MAC schools, Cinn. and Youngstown St.

What's worse:
Having a team that is putting in a new system on both sides of the ball, with a new coach and new coaching staff, and very green players at most of the positions. Then having that team lose to a MAC school at home, and struggle to go .500 in the season.

Or:
Having a team that returns 90% of their multi-year starters, recruits the top 3 O-Line guys in the country, brings in several top skill players, returns a Heisman trophy front runner, and two multi-award finalists on defense, has a coaching staff completely intact from two straight National Title game appearances and 3 straight Big Ten Titles. Then having that team struggle to get off the field and miss tackles on defense, and be completely inept at scoring in the redzone and have the 23 worst offense in all of college football.

The Buckeyes have only lost one game, and I don't expect them to lose any more. But at least Michigan has an excuse for the way they've looked all season.

whats worse is the second team your talking about (ohio state).....michigan was expected to go downhill this season and richrod didnt get the qb to run that type of offense and also installing a new offense but what ohio state is doing right now is redicoulous i dont care if they are winning if they want to move up in the polls they have to beat teams and beat them good beating a bad purdue team 16-3 isnt gonna cut it and they shouldnt have lost to usc as bad as they didnt even if beanie didnt play
