Bad day for the Bearcats. Freshman Cashmere Wright tore his ACL and is out for the year. Sophomore Kenny Belton is also out for the year with a swelling of his spinal cord. Even with those two losses the Bearcats should be much improved this season.
Been reported that Nick Aldridge is not on the team and its been stated that it was drug related.

thats what i heard. thats sad to hear. nick has the potential to be a good ball player. as for the other two players. that will hurt the bearcats

I peruse 3 or 4 Bearcat forums fairly frequently. There was a thread regarding Aldridge on this one.

thats unreal. i was really lookin forward to watchin nick play with uc this year. i watched the bearcats play western carolina last year and he was awesome. i knew right then he had what it takes to make it. 2 of the 3 area players have left western carolina. the only one remaining is brigham waginger. who was named captain at western.

Here's another thread regarding Nick. It's a shame because I thought he could contribute to the Bearcats this year. It's also a shame because it appears he was being given a 2nd chance and didn't take advantage.

Yeah, but they are in the Big East! Where only the strong survive and the weak go home.Time will tell how they fare. Pitt Panthers 2003,2008, Big East tournament champions.Just kidding Cag....The basketball Bearcats have improved but not to the level that the UC Football program has.
