but extrapolating too many conclusions about conference strength from them as Herby seems to believe you can or should....is rather foolish.

There is a long layoff that comes into play, not every league plays equal schedules (believe since 2002 the B10 has played 2 non BCS league teams in bowls...the BE or ACC have played 10), travel, of course not to mention bowls have hoopla and designed events for the teams in the week...so more distractions...

use it as part of the evidence one way or the other but it is not a smoking gun one way or the other in my opinion...

but you have to admit orestes that 2-3 conferences produce the majority of the bigger bowl wins. hoopla/distractions are just an excuse for the losing team imo.
