SEC WITH TWO TEAMS IN THE BCS CHAMPIONSHIP Will you watch?
Does anyone really want to see two SEC teams play in the BCS CHAMPIONSHIP?
Keeping in mind one or both might not even win the SEC championship game.

Yes. I will watch. And why wouldn't you? The two best teams in the nation will be on the field.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I'm sorry to be rude, but it is...newarkcatholicfan wrote:Can't be the best if you can't even win you conference title.
If the 3 best teams in the country are in one conference, why should they he penalized? They shouldn't. Alabama would win every other conference in the country. Every single one.
If Ohio State, Michigan, and Nebraska were 1-2-3 I have a feeling that everyone would be saying something different.

If it was LSU/Bama, then probably.
If it involves Arkansas, then no.
They are not a top 3 team, being in a conference doesn't entitle you to ride the coat tails of two very good teams.
The SEC is LSU, Bama, then a very large drop off.
The conference is riding past success, and the success of 2 western division teams.

I love good football. I'd prefer to see OSU and ND but I'd settle for any game that is competitive. I'd love to see a Bama/LSU rematch. I'd love to see BAMA beat the hell out of LSU!!!

Come bowl time I'm will be watching games where they will have some points scored.
If the winning team has a chance to only score 10 point I will not be watching that and people that have it on 50% of them will be sleeping.

Defense wins championships and the SEC has proven themselves the last few years and they ain't done yet till someone (other conferences) knocks them off the top perch. Yep, I'll be tuned in.

Probably not unless its the only thing on tv that night. They have said it on ESPN for years if you cant win your conference you cant play for national title. I mean if you arent the best team in your conference how can you be the best team in the nation? Think about it we had this situation a few years ago with Ohio State and Michigan. So just dig up those conversation about why Michigan after getting beat by Ohio State didnt deserve to be in the National title game and we can just substitute either Alabama or Arkansas name with Michigan name.

I will still watch because I love college football, but if it were to happen then that is the last straw towards breaking the camels back. A playoff must become a reality. The SEC is top heavy this year, and unlike years past imo are not as strong all across the board. The SEC has won the PR machine national title too, and no matter what they do they can't fail. Stanford losses to a very good Oregon team and they plummet down the rankings, Alabama losses to a very good LSU team and barely fall. That is the biggest difference IMO.
Is Arkansas really the 3rd best team in the country? Are they really that much better then a 1 loss Stanford or a 1 loss Oklahoma State? I seriously doubt it.
It is really funny that the Big 10 could possibly have 10 teams bowl eligible, yet no team is in the top 10. The Big Ten is weak now because it consists of a few above average teams with a bunch of average, yet the SEC is strong.
The SEC won the main title, the PR title.

In a word, NO. No disrespect but one of the great things about living in America is you can choose what you want to watch and what you don't. Didn't watch the World Series, didn't watch the NCAA basketball championship, didn't watch the final NASCAR race at Homestead and to me, this would be a snoozer. I have no dog in this fight and no interest who wins or loses.
