Shawnee State wins 74-58 to move on to the 2nd round for the first time since 2003 I believe.

Shawnee is down 2 points with less than a minute to go and Hastings College has the ball. Turnovers and missed free throws are killing the Bears. They have missed 6 or 7 free throws in last few minutes of the game and could be leading right now.

Shawnee's Myer at the line to shoot 2 with around 3 seconds left. She hits the first and Hastings calls a TO. She needs the 2nd to hopefully send it to OT. She hits the 2nd and we are going to OT!!!!!!!!!

Shawnee loses 77-69. Missed free throws down the stretch in regulation cost the Bears this game. Had they hit those freebies they win this game by around 5 or 6 points and there is no OT. Shawnee had no answer for Doosey(sp?) from Hastings. She killed the Bears all day.

Hastings was 30/38 from the line and Shawnee was 16/24.

Great season by the Bears at 31-1 and they will be right back in it next season I'm sure.

Doesn't the great point guard from Trimble Jennifer Grandy play for Shawnee State? If so it's no wonder they did so well.

No, she left the team after last year. She did not see eye to eye with the coaching staff. The freshman PG this year is Bianca Barton, an all-state pick from Michigan. She is probably a much better PG than Grandy, much more well rounded. Grandy might make more 3's but she cant control the game like Barton can.
