Week 7: OSU @ ILLINOIS

The first half of Neb game was great, Bucks looked like they had came together and figured it out.
Second half was the exact opposite!
Buckeyes have had issues with Illinois traditionally they play us very tough, even in our great years.
Baring another bad news Friday, Boom and Marcus Hall are back.
Miller will be evaluated today, and Guiton may be the new #2!
Your thoughts?

Not going to get any easier for awhile. And no one outside of Columbus is feeling sorry for the Bucks. Time to cicrle the wagons...may be another long Saturday.

The wagons will be easier to circle without the extra weight of those "fans" that are jumping off!
I'm glad to read about people "not watching" if certain players are in or certain coaches are making decisions. It let's me know who to take seriously and who to write off as a fair weather fan that can't take some adversity!
If you want to have the joy of success when it comes again, then stick through these times. It will taste so much sweeter!
I don't like things that are going on either, but you'll never see me nit watching, listening to, or attending a game because of a player or coaches bad performance!

Against 'Braska for 37 minutes OSU played beyond all expectations. Moments of greatness, moments
of magic. I realize part of that was "Braska stinking up the field, but OSU displayed the potential for
being an eight win team. Even if Miller can go against the Illini, what confidence and unity the team
had is now destroyed by the meltdown in Lincoln. Illinois 31 tOSU 10. Indiana may be the only winnable
game left on the schedule give the current affairs of state and the state of affairs.

I'm a college football fan in general and as I've said, I'm not a homer for OSU. Never attended the school. Having said that, I can't root for another team. I'm still bitter over '69 in Ann Arbor! As a matter of fact, it might be time to see if tickets are available for the 'Shoe. Go Bucks!

Sounds like you are about my age. Going back to the 1968 NC season, I was able to
walk up to the St Johns ticket window on Michigan game day and purchase four A Deck
tickets. Under the old SW tower scoreboard, but the game was watchable. 50-14 becase
Woody could not go for three on the last extra point. I always wondered if that
two pont conversion was TSUN's motivation in 1969.

I really think they could win. How many times has OSU opened the Big Ten with three straight losses? Illinois is riding high....maybe to a fall!

Herron should be running hard. He has much to prove and a short amount of time to prove it. Hyde and Hall should still get many reps as Herron will not be able to carry the ball 25 times in his first game back. The defense will have to play 4 quarters to get the job done. With any hope, Miller will be unaffected by the ankle injury and ready to go.

Miller is walking without a wrap or brace.
He spent Sunday on the training table, and in an ice bath, said it did wonders for him.
He's listed as the starter on the depth chart that came out today.

Maybe losing these "bandwagoners" will help me tolerate OSU a slight bit since most of them are the fans that make me despise OSU football.

Nah, they'll be the first ones back when we get great again in a short time.

Gotta love the bad wagon fans. If you can't take the tough times and adversity then you don't belong with the true buckeye fans. 0-12 or 12-0 I'll always be a part of buckeye nation!

That's what I like to hear!
Ive got a small picture hanging above my recliner, where I watch the games.
It says, "My Team, My Colors, Win or Lose."
When I go to sit in that chair, it's what I see before my butt hits the seat.
This year, it's been a reminder, and a way of keeping me focused!

Spielman said today that his broadcast partner, whom he spends a considerable amount of time in contact with every week, one Urban Meyer, "has not sat down and considered what he wants to do next year."
He added that "Urban will eventually have to do that."
He says that Urban has expressed that he "misses the "juice", the excitement of coaching, the excitement of gameday and winning or losing."

Well he could designate a lot of work to any number of coaches willing to study under him. He could balance the demands and still give direction to the program. Imagine the recruiting boards lighting up. Hey NCAA, decide already! Let's get on with it! Mistakes were made but worse has been done!

Maybe Urban can come to Columbus and bring spielman with him as an assistant. Spielman and Vrabel oughta be able to keep the defense on their toes and put fickell back on the defensive staff. Lol
