What do you guys think ? Most are predicting a 'Lane violation' in The Swamp. I am shocked that even after losing to UCLA the Vols landed 3 blue chip recruits (verbal commits) who were there on visits last weekend. They have good players and bill themselves as 'the best coaching staff in college.' They have 2 freshman who were Gator commits until signing day last year. How does Kiffin get them ?
Was Tenn. looking past UCLA ? Do they have a chance at Florida ? The Gators 1st team only played into the 2nd qtr in game 1, halfway into the 3rd qtr vs. Troy. It was only 7-3 after the 1st qtr. It poured rain all day(I got soaked). The Gators had 6 fumbles, but still had 663 yds. and 32 first downs. The Gator defense will be turned loose by Charlie Strong this week.
My prediction : Gators 52, Vols 10

In my opinion, Tennessee will keep it close early in the first quarter and probably into the second quarter. They have a good defense headlined by the best defensive player in the country.

HOWEVER

Tebow, Demps, Rainey, Hernandez, James, Cooper, Nelson will prove to be too much. Eric Berry cant cover them all.

It's too bad Berry plays for Tennessee. He's a special player.

That said, Tennessee will keep it close until after the opening kick off.

Well I'm taking Florida by 7 TD's also predicting that backup qb for Florida John Brantley will play the entire 2nd half !!!

as a lifelong ut fan, ive come to this conclusion. tennessee can lose to anybody on any given night including north texas, but they can also beat anybody on any given night. never know which team is gonna show up. thank god the fulmer days are over. i think the best thing about the kiffin hire is getting his dad monte kiffin as def cood. he was the master behind the buccaneers defense for the last decade. jury is still out on lane but getting some blue chippers again is rocky top to my ears. :lol:
