I predict they close this thread, since there's already one.
And has been for 5 days now.

Well, it must not be talked about much because it isn't near the top! Also, most of the OSU vs Miami are about tickets and people not knowing how to get to the game and stuff when there is google maps!

At least they make it down the isle instead of being stuck in the powder room.ManitouDan wrote:lets go canes , wake up the big ten once yet again to the fact that they are bridemaids nearly every year.

I'm going to assume you're an Ohio State fan. And this is the attitude that makes me despise Ohio State. To consider one of these teams a pretender and one a contender is absurd. Considering they both are outstanding teams and should provide for an outstanding game.85inside wrote:ill lay the 9. pretender vs. contender in this one.

I'll have my surgically repaired knee elevated and watching OSU torpedoe Miami's season. Bucks gotta be sharp all year to make it to the BCS Championship game!
Re: Ohio State vs. Miami (FL)
darn Jeep80....that was a good one! I guess some would rather watch the game from home and then take cracks at the team that actually makes it.....how funny!jeep80 wrote:At least they make it down the isle instead of being stuck in the powder room.ManitouDan wrote:lets go canes , wake up the big ten once yet again to the fact that they are bridemaids nearly every year.
Re: Ohio State vs. Miami (FL)
What has Miami done to be recognized as a contender in this game? Did they win a BCS Bowl game and have many returning starters? Do they play in a tough conference? No to both of those questions.TigerTownKid wrote:I'm going to assume you're an Ohio State fan. And this is the attitude that makes me despise Ohio State. A Miami fan not liking OSU for being cocky? That is rich. You must be a new Miami fan.

No, they did not win a BCS bowl game and yes they do have virtually every stater back at every major positions. And their depth is unbelievable.
Would you honestly like to compare schedules? You're honestly going to argue about the Big Ten being a tough conference?

Miami plays in the ACC, and that is a joke.
Miami returns players, but they are returners that are
not as good as Buckeye returners.

I have to disagree with that statement. The Big Ten has (other than OSU) Iowa and Wisconsin. ANd possibly Michigan.seofan_via_dublin wrote:Miami plays in the ACC, and that is a joke.

The ACC has Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Florida State, North Carolina. So I believe that out of the two, The Big Ten is the joke.

Re: Ohio State vs. Miami (FL)
Every team you mentioned would be two touchdown underdogs to Iowa, wisconsin, and OSU. They would also get beat by Penn st, and possibly Michigan.
The ACC is a much weeker conference, and every single expert/publication will tell you the same thing

Thats funny considering that IOWA beat the ACC Champions Georgia Tech with ease in the Orange Bowl last year, taking Tech behind the woodshed to the tune of a 2 score game. And that was your conference champ.
tOSU would have really drilled Tech last year as would have Penn St. and Wisconsin. Va Tech hasnt really done anything since Gilligan was still stuck on an island and the Noles and Tarheels have been nearly extinct over the past several years.

VT might hang between 3rd and 5th on a yearly basis. (I said Might), Everyone else would get it laid on them by the top half of the Big Ten. Miami could hang in there and maybe be in a position to win a big Ten titlle every few years.
