The Bye Week Buckeye Haters Ball
It's the bye week. 13 days till the buckeyes take the field against Penn State.
Come one, come all, gather round the old Buckeye tree. All you Haters out there, and you " fans" with complaints. It's time for the "airing of grievances".
You tell me what is wrong with the buckeyes, and why they garner your spite.
And I'll tell you why you're wrong!!!

Re: The Bye Week Buckeye Haters Ball
Our kickoff team has a hard time tackling people. We pooch kick. Our kicker kicks out of bounds and we give up great field position.
Tell me why I am wrong on that one!

Re: The Bye Week Buckeye Haters Ball
The bye week, time to heal and retool for the final push to a possible 11 win season, share of the Big Ten championship, and a BCS bowl game. However the Bucks lack something intangible -- emotion?, leadership?, some combination of the two? The missing ingrediant could result in three losses to close
the season. Talent alone does not equal success.

Re: The Bye Week Buckeye Haters Ball
So many injuries on defense, especially in the secondary. This has been an unusual year.
This OSU team isn't the same in style, but it reminds me of 2007 LSU. They lost two games because their team was a mash unit. Once they were healthy again, they again became the team that beat a 1-loss Va Tech 48-7.
If OSU gets healthy for a bowl game, they will be very tough. I just worry that the defensive injuries may be too much to overcome at Iowa.

OSU would have to poo down their legs to lose to PSU and Michigan. I guess it could happen, but there certainly has been nothing near an indication of that up to this point.
Yep, Minnesota isn't good, but they battled a decent game with PSU and USC. OSU made them look absolutely pitiful, and really didn't play a great game themselves.
Re: The Bye Week Buckeye Haters Ball
I like how their running game is picking up the last few weeks, this will even open up the passing game more. The only negative I have is I wish they had someone with a strong enough leg to kick the ball in the end zone on kick offs, I think this would help special teams out. Hopefully they will move the Buckeyes up in the polls this week, cause you know they will punish them next week for having a bye, even though I bet they move Alabama up two spots this week after their bye.
Re: The Bye Week Buckeye Haters Ball
OSU again showing that they are a much better team when they commit to establishing the run. The O-line can really do some business when the commitment is made. They simply seem to struggle when asked to run-block after playing finesse pass-blocking most of the game.
I'd say it's time to kick the kick-offs high and wobbly every time. The coverage has not been fixed after an off-season and nine games, so make the returner feel the pressure of coverage breathing down his neck while he waits to catch it and maybe some will be dropped or land in no-man's land.

The Special Team play by far. I hope the bye week gives them a chance to change some things. I hope they can land a good kicker for next year. It has to be one of higher things that is on Tress's list. Their Special Team play sure is not typical of an Ohio State Team. Go Buckeyes

I have been thinking the same thing but we Definitely will get in next week because #3TCU play@#5 Utah and,#6 Alabama@#10 LSU.so if it does not happen next week then something is wrong.

I wouldn't count on it, last week they moved an idle Alabama team up in the polls and an idle LSU jumped us, so I guess it is better not to play at all.
Re: The Bye Week Buckeye Haters Ball
i dont get why they havent moved atleast to the ten spot. they need a week off to heal up not sure how many they will get back in a week but they need to refocus. we gotta beat iowa.
Re: The Bye Week Buckeye Haters Ball
Win out and the rest will fall in place for the Buckeyes. We will not get a BCS NC game, but a BCS bowl game is not out of the question unless they get rolled at Iowa.
The SEC will smack each other around enough to make things interesting, Utah and TCU will take one out, Oregon will have a good shot of winning out and so does Boise State. If I had to guess right now, I would say Oregon vs Boise State in the NC.
Question, if OSU beats wins out....will they play in the rose Bowl or will Mich St have to lose again since they beat OSU?

Mich St didn't beat OSU. I don't think they even play this year.

This coming from a guy who's team has played non-league games against teams such as James Madison, Wofford, Eastern Washington, Villanova, Liberty, Coastal Carolina and Marshall is on the schedule every year.

I love it when hater try and hold the Buckeyes to a higher standard than their own teams.
