If he's a top level pick, can't blame him, and would encourage him to go.
Would miss him though!

I think the NCAA needs to get their act together and do basketball just like football and not allow these kids to leave after one year of college B-Ball. Coaches spend all that time and effort to get a kid to commit and he plays one year and bolts. He may be a superstar, but he's not benefiting the school or the team unless they just happen to win the NCAA title during his one year in college and just how often does that happen. Just imagine how good tOSU could have been if this rule was in effect, as well as Kentucky. Make them stay until after their junior years or at least their sophomore year.

I agree 100%. I never understood why the NCAA has different rules for different sports. Wait.....we are talking about the NCAA here....

The NCAA has little to do with it. It is a bargained for rule in the NBA's CBA, just as it is in the NFL's CBA. Get the NBA to change their rule to being eligible for the draft 3 years from HS graduation (like the NFL) instead of 1 year out and this is a mute point.

go back to the old rule--- can only go if there is a hard ship in the family and then it can only be after their Jr. year.

He's not polished enought for next year. Most of his basketball life has been spent directly under the basket (ala Mullens, Oden) and he has to develop more of a perimeter game or the NBA will eat him up early and you'll never hear from him again. We've seen that happen a lot at OSU in the last few years haven't we ?

Sullinger has some range outside of the paint. I've seen him hit two 3s and a few outside the paint shots. He will probably go pro, but i hope not.

He''ll mature and develop more lift with his legs and then may have a legit shot at a good NBA career. Hopefully by this season's end, he has some extra lift because long athletic big men or leapers will give him fits inside. Other than that he is far more polished than any other OSU frosh I have seen. His outside shot is pretty good especially up to 15 feet but he hasn't had to use it and thankfully he is smart enough to know that he is in there to help the team win games not be on audition for another job so he uses his head and utilizes mismatches sometimes even outsmarting much older players. He has shown signs of athleticism at times and other times his legs look dead when he attacks the rim. The NBA will eat guys up that can't elevate quickly.

Sullinger isn't going anywhere. Expect him to play another year at least. And I wouldn't be surpised if he stayed for 3 or 4 years. The old man wants a dynasty/legacy with the son. The money will always be there for his talent.

That was the quietest 27 pts and 16 rebounds I have ever seen.
I am amazed how well he shoots foul shots for such a big guy.
