Valenth's Thoughts from Week 2

Post by Valenth »

Week 2 in the books! Here are my thoughts!

1. Some MAC schools wanted the smoke and gave some top 10 teams fits!

Northern Illinois with the shocker to Notre Dame. And a near scare for the Nittany Lion faithful at the hands of Bowling Green.

2. I told you so on Michigan and Oregon.

Michigan got exposed in a BAD way at home against Texas. And Oregon barely escaping Boise State is starting to show the Contenders and Pretenders.

3. Other close calls and upsets.

Oklahoma barely beating Houston. California beating Auburn (another surprise) Kentucky getting destroyed by South Carolina (That one shocked me even more) and Kansas falling to the Illini.

4. The Usual Suspects Roll...

Georgia, Ohio State and Ole Miss

5. Alabama had issues but pulled it off.

Crimson Tide didnt impress in the First Half. But got the job done in the end.

6. Let's just say it. Colorado Is OVERRATED.

Watching this Flag Trigger Happy game, Nebraska controlled Colorado in the first Half and then the 2nd half it was just ugly. More penalties than scoring. One note that shows me that there's a rift in Colorado is when Shadeur Sanders walked back to the Locker room with 2 minutes left in the game. Be there for your teammates. It seemed pretty classless to me.

My Prediction for Top 10

1. Georgia
2. Ohio State
3. Texas
4. Alabama
5. Ole Miss
6. Missouri
7. Utah
8. Oregon
9. Penn State
10. Miami FL

Let's hear your thoughts!

Good summation Sir Valenth.

I would add two teams to the discussion:

Tennessee. The Vols went to Raleigh and destroyed a respectable NC State team, 51-10.

Syracuse. The much maligned Kyle McCord has the Orange in a position to challenge in the ACC.

Now, a question. I know the opponents have not been stellar, but has the Ohio State offensive line suddenly become good?

They say nothing is impossible, yet I accomplish nothing every day.

Tennessee I think will give Georgia Fits. I'm happy to see McCord succeeding in Syracuse.

And right now I feel good about Ohio States Line. It's also great to see the other players get some much needed reps in to get that experience in case someone needs to step up!

Meh Cord is tearing it up at the Cuse! Second straight career high game shredding 23rd ranked Georgia Tech for 381 yards and 4tds. Glad to see the young man doing well at his new home. With Ewers performance the OSU QB pipeline rolls on!

scUM got ROLLED! Dominated in every aspect of the game. MAJOR problems in Ann Arbor.
I suspect the scUM administration thinks Sherrone Moore and company are going to get the hammer dropped on their head from the NCAA since Moore is still coaching without a contract.

ND exposed. I think this loss drops them from playoff contention. But if you can't beat NI, I'm sure there will be more losses coming for ND.

Texas and Tennessee are the best teams in the SEC. You heard it here first. Tennessee will beat Georgia this year.
UK back to being a basketball school. Hoops season right around the corner for Big Blue Nation lol. Pretenders.

Agree on everything here. I think if Stoops doesn't get their act together he will get rhe Axe before the season is up.
