What are the chances he meanders through both the university and NCAA investigations and actually serves a 5 game suspension and sees the field again at tOSU?

I personally hope the university does a fast but thorough investigation and sends him back to PA where I now hope he would have stayed.

Is there really any chance that he would ever put a Buckeye uniform on again? If so, I would imagine he would be boo'd upon every snap he ever took on the field.

If the nfl gets the cba worked out and has the supplemental draft he will be picked up and gone from osu.

Even if he is eligible by the sixth game there is NO WAY he is the best candidate for the starting QB spot. At that point we will have most likely burned up a redshirt year for Miller so what is to gain???

The only way he could be the best option, barring injury, is if the gameplan involves him running more of a Cam Newton style offense with a run first mentality stressing power running mixed up with the finesse running game he has shown at times during his career. If I played him I would run his legs off both inside and outside and if he got hurt, karma sucks. He isn't going to play QB in the NFL so why cater to him wanting to become a better pocket passer or pro style QB, 3 years of that has been painful to watch and if he isn't there yet, it ain't gonna happen. Hopefully he is done so we can give a real QB a chance but if he plays I say use his strengths whether he likes it or not.

He's most likely done though with all that will air in August and I'd bet money on him making some dumb choices between now and then that will hurt his cause even more.

I'd agree that if the NFL has enough of their labor situation ironed out and has a supplemental draft that Pryor as well as some of the others that are suspended will enter it and head to the NFL rather than stick around and face the music of the 5-game suspension and all of the negative attention they're going to be receiving over the implosion of the program.

I say that we're better off without them. Even if they don't enter the supplemental draft. Wipe the slate clean, suspend them for the full year and be done with them. It would create a cleaner break with the current situation.

Being a Michigan fan i would rather have that pondscum TP at qb. I saw Braxton Miller play 3 times last year and he is a more dangerous qb right now than tp is.

TP is history at OSU. Whatever he does from here will not concern scarlet and gray. Don't know what his options are but it would take a pretty big set of you-know-whats on his part to have the audacity to return to OSU. I'd actually fear for his safety and that is something OSU doesn't need to deal with.

I remember years a go when the Michigan mens BK signed a contract to coach elsewhere the following season but wanted to stay and coach Michigan through the tournament. Bo Schembechler put that notion to an end when he said, "Only a Michigan man will coach Michigan players."

The same thing is true of Pryor and his thugs. They NEVER WERE Buckeyes and Pryor not only remains unrepentant to this day, but continues to flaunt his repeated rules violations even after Tressel resigned.

Only Buckeyes deserve to wear our colors; I dont care how good they think they are, and just for the record, I doubt if you will ever hear of Pryor again in a positive light IF some NFL team is desperate enough to draft him. He is history. I didnt think anything could be worse than what Woody did to the Baughman kid in the bowl game, but what Woody did brought shame on HIMSELF. Theis has brought shame and reproach on the entire UNIVERSITY.

True, but sadly they are saying twenty some players did the same. The kids today just don't get it. No direction from home, spoiled athletes. I am at the point that being a fan may be too much trouble. I stopped watching the NBA years ago, the NFL and MLB are going the same direction. Now college sports. If I have to root for the TP's, the A-Rod's of the world? I see where Calhoun is CONSIDERING coming back next season. What do we have here another MJ, Favre? Sickening.

As the week has moved on, and the program has went on lockdown, while players meet with the the NCAA, many of them with lawyers, it seems more likely for Pryor to return than originally thought.

I think when the dust settles, he'll have to have more than a few words of remorse toward the fans for his role in this, but I think it's looking more like he'll have at least a chance to play again.

That will be a CHANCE, not a guarantee, as Luke Fickle will still have a decision to make as to how he handles the situation.

Post NCAA investigation this past week, preliminary word is that Dohrman relied heavily on a rogue former buckeye's stories, and while there is some truth to the SI article, it is greatly inflated. The NCAA may have something to say about the SI article contents, but from what I've heard and have read, it won't be as bad as we initially feared.

The resounding sentiment within the team is that regardless of who leaves and who remains, those left in the wake of this storm have bonded tighter than ever before, and have taken it upon themselves to start the rebuilding process before the fall even ends.

Fickle is a young, fireball of a coach, that while having been part of the Tressel PC machine for 9 years, has still retained his fire and energy. His team will hit the field in September with a forged focus, stronger than what we've seen in the past, and with a coach on the sidelines that all-be-it green in head coaching experience, is well seasoned in the way a Buckeye should play, and will will have a very different energy on the sidelines this fall.

I think Braxton Miller (second choice Kenny Guiton) should be the starter, and if he plays well in the 5 games without Pryor, then I think he should remain the starter. Now that Fickell is the full year coach, Miller's chances of remaining the starting QB might be better, because the new coach may not feel that sense of loyalty to Pryor that Tressel did.

Of course the decision of who to play at QB may be a moot point if Pryor is deemed ineligible for the rest of his college career.

I am looking forward to seeing how the Buckeyes play under Fickell, and I hope that he does indeed show the fire that seofan via dublin is talking about.

Braxton Miller looked the most impressive during the Spring, while he is very talented, it is all raw and inexperienced.
He will do fine against Akron, Toledo, and Colorado, but on the road against Miami, and back home in the Big 10 opener against MSU are going to be the true tests.
The one thing that has me worried about the still yet unknown NCAA investigations this past week, is that several key defensive players were mentioned in the SI article. As I mentioned before, it's looking like those names are more smoke than fire, but on the chance that their is fire and the defnese gets hit with penalties and suspensions, then it will change my entire outlook on this year.

Even with 5 offensive starters out for 5 games, and TP being up in the air as to ever return, my thoughts on this season is that we should expect NO WORSE that 10-2. The defense, though it lost graduating players and will be starting new names, is still very experienced and will be the top defense in the conference (Nebraska could challenge). The defense has long been the strength of our system, and in order for a team to beat the Buckeyes this year they will have to score at minimum 21 points on average. I think that no matter how our offense plays, they should still be good for 24. Heck in Tressel's most conservative years and with "rebuilding" talent he was getting 30/game out of the offense!

Now, if we are looking at major issues involving defensive players then my outlook goes from a 10-2 worst case, to a distinct possibility of 7-5 or 8-4.

As for what I'd like to see at the QB spot this year, Kenny Guiton was shaky at best, I hope to see Miller get the nod as well, but with the senior leadership and experience of Bouserman as his backup and mentor.
