OSU tickets for public sale!

Post by seofan_via_dublin »

This coming Tuesday, August 9th, OSU will have a very rare public buy on tickets.

Here's the info on how you can order:

Fans can purchase tickets at OhioStateBuckeyes.com, charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000, or any Ticketmaster location.

This will be a rare chance to buy OSU tickets at face value.

Are ticket sales down?

Student ticket sales are apparently down, and a small decrease in season tickets.

Between economy and turmoil, people are being hesitant.

Plus, at $70 per ticket per game OSU has one of the highest rates around. Tickets for the Miami game in Miami were on sale trough The U ticket office earlier. They normally sell home games for $19, which is crazy! They sold OSU game tix for $40! Heck you can get season tickets to Miami for $99. At OSU season tickets cost over $400!

August 9th @ 10:00 AM.

If you try to buy tickets at 10:05 AM, it will be too late. Football tickets are sold around this time every year but the amount are very limited and the seats are not that great. I usually pick up 3-4 singles every year during this sale.

My plan: Refresh the Wisconsin game page every 3 seconds until the sale starts. Search for a single ticket. Jump back and forth between Penn State and Wisconsin. I'll consider it a success if I get a single ticket for both (or even one game) games.

Ticket brokers have expensive programs that flood the system for pairs of tickets. If you are looking for a pair to one of the big games, good luck!

Unless your in D deck, or behind a pole in B, there are no bad seats!

The selection is higher this year, due to decreased student sales.

But as CLane stated, be ready to buy before 10, or your luck at Wisconsin, MSU, or PSU will be out!

I already have tickets to Akron and Toledo, I'm shooting for MSU, or Wisconsin. But I can get those later too. My wife works at OSUMC, and we have offers to buy for every week at employee face value.

I imagine many are experiencing this problem.
Knew Miami didn't have large fan base but didn't realize tickets were so cheap.

Pretty sure season tix for 7 home games at WVU are $375 this year. An increase of about $50 or so. Individual game tix for the public went on sale this week for all games except LSU. Tickets for LSU are being offered along with tickets for Norfolk St and Louisville in a 3 game mini package for $180.
