A big error coupled with no hits from the fourth inning on the Bobcats (6-17) allowed Northern Kentucky (14-9) to steal a win. Played in a heavy rain, with dark skies and no lights in the stadium, each team struggled.
Logen Devenport (Franklin, Ind) had a three-run bomb for the winners. Nolan Sparks (Saskatchewan, Canada) had two hits and drove in two. Braydon Rogers (Queen Creek, Arizona) and Jake Altman (San Diego, California) each drove in a run.
For the Bobcats, Ben Slanker (Canfield) blasted two long balls and drove in five. Pauly Mancino (Westlake) had two hits and drove in a run. The Bobcats had three errors compared to just one for the winners.
