If they received nothing then that is pretty lame. Granted they don't need as much but at least buy the kids a meal each day that they are playing. South Point's junior league girls only went to Minford and they at least paid for the kids state shirts, and two meals.
This year's B team will be next year's A team. That is what makes your league so strong. Think of the extra hours of practice and games you'll will have over the other 11-12's next year that didn't practice. I wouldn't let other peoples comments get to you

Re: 9-10 boys at wheelersburg
I don't think the issue has anything to do with the fact that it's the 10-11 year old team. I think it has more to do with the fact that it's a team playing the state tournament in its home district. I think of it just like the district tournament and there is really no need for the league to fund a trip. If the team played more than one game in a day, I feel the league should pay for a meal. Other than that, I don't feel the league should fund the trip because of the short amount of travel time.

I know for a fact that the league did not give money to the 11/12 yr old girls who played state at Ironton. The kids are not traveling hours away and staying in hotels. That is for all their teams. I'm not from Wheelersburg, but I do know how proud they are of all their teams.

McCormick

Carmichael
Collins
This team never gave up and came back to win in the 6th inning. It was a long game and these boys have some endurance. Defi chanted Defi the whole time but it didn't bother these boys. The Defi coach stalled and asked a lot of questions, started at 4:00 ended after 7:00.
The excitement after the game was UNBELIEVABLE. Their fans and parents never gave up either. It was an awesome display of Burg tradition.
