Yes they do have a 7th grade team.. they have only played on game which was oak hill...i dont know anything about them..i just know ppl said most of the 8 grade team is 7th graders..

Valley 8th is idle this week ironton dropped us this year ...dont know why ...principle tried to get another game but couldnt .....our 7th grade plays Notre Dame

our 8th grade plays Minford at home OCT 6th and then wheelersburg there Oct 20 th to end the season

Portsmouth played a tough game without there star running back. Wheelersburg had a lot of miscues on offense. They couldn't run quick pitch all night due to bad pitches! It looked almost looked like Clifford coaching, Burg ran it down the field all night and ends up trowing it or going away from what got you down to the goal line. They had 1st down on the 2 yd line and couldn't get it in during the 2nd OT. WOW. I give Portsmouth Credit they won the game!

northwest 7th grade did not play valley the first game because of numbers ...however the 8th grade played us and had plenty of kids ....big but not good ...so i would say they eventually combined as did valley last year when our 8th grade only had 7 boys ......and our 7th grade had 14 or so

Final

The pirates dominated the game. The score looks a lot closer than the game ended up. It was 18-0 then the pirates started putting in there subs. Portsmouth scored 2 TD's in the 4th quarter. The 1st team Defense didn't give up more than 50 yards. Offensively for the Pirates Jordan Howard ran great tonight he had a 65 yd run to secure the victory. Great team win boys! Wheelersburg 8th grade record 3-2

West 8th played a mistake free game, so they played good. The have been in every game this year until one fumble or mistake late in the game, then they just fall apart it seems. Thanks, I was hoping it would work.

I watched Valley play West and that was a wood shed game. Valley drove down the field and scored early and never looked back. The only West score came on a Valley turnover inside their own 10 from what I remember. I left early in the 4th quarter and Valley dominated the entire time.
