ManitouDan wrote:pepsiman- was your comment even directed at me ? I thought maybe you were talking about someone mentioning about parents being escorted out of games .

my comments were complimentary of a very good St Joe team . My wrap was barely a paragraph . Why the griping ?

Not gripping...............I want to read scores........not commentary on every post......

U are talking about girl correct, because the boys 8th for Portsmouth defeated Jackson tonight. The 7th lost.

have not seen Minford. Saw them 2 years ago and they were really good . Nothing takes the place of having girls play together alot. Thats what we are missing. The good 8th grade girls we have have never played or practiced with the fine 7th grade girls we have. you can tell they don't have the awareness or trust or whatever you want to call it on the court. But it will come , we feel great about our talent. MD

Not to get away from the subject of scores, but Ohio is one of a VERY FEW states doesn't allow teams to play together during offseason, when you go to other states they don't have that rule, alot of other areas use off season to develop their player for the Jr High and High School level..

Can they play more than 10 days? Or is that just for the coach?

Understand GAJHS beat Logan's 7th grade, 41-27 and the Gallipolis 8th graders won, 39-37 at Logan.

Gallia also took two from Jackson earlier last week.

There can be ten days of coaching in practices, camps, shootouts, leagues, etc. The rest is supposed to be open gym with no coaching.

yes it is ten days only, other states they are allowed to play together once season ends to the season begins..When we are at tourny in Chicago they said that they used their offseaon to develop the skills and run offenses that the jr. high and high school programs want..and that we are the only state (there may be only a few others) that have this rule..
