Raceland New Years Classic Basketball Tournament

The Raceland Roundball Club will be hosting a Classic format basketball tournament for grades 1-5. January 16 & 17

We will be able to work around your league schedules for starting times.

WE are looking for:
2nd grade: looking for 2 more teams
3rd grade: looking for 3 more teams
5th grade: looking for 1 more team

The Classic will only have 4 teams in each class and we do have some openings in each of the classes. Each team will receive 3 games for a $ 50.00 entry fee. Please call Marty Mills at 606-922-8805

Why are you not including 6th grade in the tournament?

All of our teams are single grade teams and our 6th grade is part of our middle school so we just didn't include them during this tournament. Our 1-5 grade teams are part of the club and this is a fundraiser for those teams. However, when we have our feb. tournments we will include our 6th grade boys and girls teams.

We are still looking for a few more teams in a couple divisions and we will place anyone on a waiting list just incase someone can't make it a the last moment. Also, please remember that we will work with your league schedule on Saturday January 16th, and you will get 3 games in these 2 days.

Saturday
4:30 Portsmouth vs. WBurg

Any results? Who won the tournament for each age diviision?

Portsmouth won the 4th grade division by beating Burg, Raceland and Boyd County. I believe Raceland (2-1)came in second, followed by Burg(1-2) and Boyd County (0-3). The Burg/ Raceland game came down to the last seconds. It was a really close game throughout.

Actually Boyd beat Raceland so I think it was a three way tie for 2nd.
