Western at Porstmouth Clay.
Western at Porstmouth Clay.
Western travels to Clay tonight. Wondering if Clay is back to full strength. Western will have a tough time winning tonight. The best player in the area, Nick Shanks is out with a pulled hamstring. Have heard two other starters are very sick and probably wont make the trip. Will be hard to win without three starters. Good luck boys and give your best effort. We are proud of you win or lose.
Re: Western at Porstmouth Clay.
Are you serious? A pulled hamstring? I am so sorry for the young man, the hamstring is a tough injury to recover from. Clay has been dealing with sickness also, rarely having a full squad. It's that time of the year though, kids want to play with their friends, sick or not. I'm sure Western will play hard no matter who starts and plays.
Re: Western at Porstmouth Clay.
So your making fun of a pulled hamstring. Nick heard it pop, is walking on crutches and has an MRI scheduled for tomorrow. Really classy to laugh at that. Have a lot of respect for your coaching staff and how they conduct themselves. Very little for your fan base. Which one will you be tonight. Would like to be able to pick you out of the crowd and discuss further.

You got me wrong man! I have had a pulled hamstring, and I know they are serious. That's why I said it is a tough injury to recover from. Any injury though is NOT a laughing matter! I hope this isn't a on going problem for him.

Reread what was written. Don't know either of you but it didn't sound like he was making fun of this poor feller. I hope he makes a speedy recovery and will pray that the MRI shows that it isn't as bad as you think. Please keep us posted on how he is doing...Good luck to both teams!
Re: Western at Porstmouth Clay.
Sorry if I misunderstood your meaning. Just a little touchy on the subject i guess. Really hope he is back next week for our tournaments. Good luck tonight.

GOINDIANS,
I completely understand, my kid had a serious injury last year that took him out of the sport that he loved. It was a very anxious time for our family and one we won't forget anytime soon. After the MRI it was not what they thought and did not have to have surgery. Praying for the same for your son. Again, please let us know how the MRI turns out...

I don't think Jake was making fun of the kid being hurt. That's not the type of person he is. Anyway I'm sorry to hear that too. I know the Clay 7th grade has been working hard and hoped to play Western's full squad. I know at last Thursdays game Clay had I think 1 or 2 kids out and heard over the weekend again that Phipps may be out. Hope everyone gets to feeling better before the tourneys. GOOD LUCK PANTHERS!! and HOPE the INDIANS heal soon!!!
Re: Western at Porstmouth Clay.
Thank you Ridgerunner1, and you are right. I never want to see any kid have to sit out because of injury. And you are also right that all of Clay nation wanted to see Western at full strength, because we are preparing for our tournament against S.O.C. 2 teams and your team is the best in S.O.C.1, and that will help our boys get ready for what they have to face next week.
