The Hallam kid from Green throws really hard, and Schob from Rock Hill is pretty good.

i agree "minford falcons" i watched trey kelley pitch this year. he threw very well and walked 0 batters. Very good control for a 12 year old

You can also add Jared Alley, Eric Cook, Alex Powell can all pitch well for Minford. There is also a few others that can pitch in a pinch for Minford. A lot of pitching from this group.

The best I saw this year was a pitching battle between Nate Murphy of Portsmouth and the Powell kid from Minford. They went head to head for 4 innings or so one game and they both pitched very well.

I agree. This minford team should have enough pitching to go far in this tourny

South Point has a couple of kids that can pitch. Tanner Hall and Ryan Khounlavong. Both were on last year's 11-12's that went to state. They don't have the number of pitchers to go as far this year. Last years team every kid on the team was a regular season pitcher who pitched a lot. When you get in the tourney you need about 10 who can ptitch due to the pitchcount.

Mr T ... Wade from SP is legit, if he can keep his composure he won't be touched ... watched him pitch a game the other night against a "travel team" he began throwing in the 4th inning of a 12-0 game (his team losing) didnt allow a base runner his team lost 12-10 ... IF SP 9/10s can find a couple other pitchers I could see them winning the district, obviously not seeing any other teams play but they have talent, especially the 9 yr olds.

As far as 11-12s Ive seen McWhorter and Khounlavong throw for SP this yr both threw a lot of strikes and from what I heard SPs 11-12 yr old teams both had pretty solid records in the regular season, so look for them to make some noise again.

Wheelersubrg should be a favorite to win District 11 this year. They went to state in the 11 yr and 9-10 last year. Now those 2 groups will be together for the 11-12 All-Stars this year. The line up will have 5 strong pitchers and great hitting through the whole line up.
