Chesapeake scrapes by with a 2-1 win. The kid for West pitched an outstanding game. We were very fortunate to play some small ball and escape with a victory. Hutchison, Webb and especially Morris stepped up tonight to pitch out of some serious jams. At least three times West had the bases loaded and 'Peake pitchers only allowed one run to score.

Way to go boys! Guts won this one. Let's get some rest and take it to those Tigers from Ironton tomorrow!

Nice game by the Falcons. Keep it going boys. Each game won now means that you knock someone else out. It's not easy coming back through the loser bracket. Should be setting pretty good for next game with Alley available. Only really heard one big up roar from the other field but I don't think it was that CG coach this time. I think it was a couple of the fans. I think that the coach may have been able to keep himself pretty much under control this time.

I was there and I watched that game all I know and can say is both teams played hard but there were alot of bad calls and as far as #40 goes it was a good hit and the only homerun of the game I think so if he wants to beat on his own drum then so be it he should be proud...I think that both of these teams were pretty evenly matched kids it could've gone either way.

LOL I guess ALL the "bad" calls went against CG? Have you guys ever just got beat because the other team played better?
Furthermore, if you want to push the issue of what a great game this kid had, I was also there and went back and fourth between games. How many bad throws did he make to first base to allow base runners or scores? I know that I saw at least a couple myself.
"Bad calls" aren't what beat CG. Very poor defense is what beat CG from what i saw.

Nice game Pirates. I heard several people say that they thought Portsmouth may be the team to beat. Looks like the Burg is going to be VERY tough as usual. We won't back down though, if we can get to you. Come on Falcons, give it all you got.

'Peake wins big...15-3 over Ironton. Morris and Lester both hit 3 run shots. Some great pitching performances from kids who haven't gotten to pitch a whole lot in this tournament. They came through, defense made some key plays, and the bats were alive!

Good job, boys! Let's keep this Purple thing going!!

Great game between Portsmouth and Wheelersburg . It was a pitchers dual (Delotell ) from Ports. and (Davis ) from the Burg. Both young men pitched a great game . The Burg had things just fall their way . Keep it up to both teams and maybe in the future a high school championship will come back to southern ohio. :-D
